Both of which are problems which can easily be solved Pete. Numbered bins and carbon paper! Bit of a pain I know, but I whiled away many hours numbering bin pads. Of course much depends on whether or not a bar is farang run (or has a very astute MamaSan.)

I am lucky to remember 90 baht to the pound and its now only 60. Thats why prices have rizen.

Hi MorgansPride - the thing is that prices haven't risen that much in LOS. It just seems that way with the change in exchange rate.
For example - when it hit 90 baht farang bar owners on UK incomes were getting 3 Chang for the pound, and selling them at around 55 baht each. A return of 165 baht to the pound!
Now a Chang might cost more like 50 pence. 2 for a pound. Sell at about 60 baht. A return of 120 baht to the pound. Get my drift?

You confused me after the 3rd Chang!

nice to see a sencible post, as apposed to the assumption that {sst} means short time.
I made the abreviation because my typing skills r not to great.
I am, and will remain (until I can afford it) a short time traveler to Thailand!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Explanation accepted. I answered the question I thought was being asked, in my words. That was "What bars do I avoid as a short time tourist (STT)?"

Now you imply that sst meaning short time is an assumption. What are you actually asking that has not already been answered and what does sst stand for? I am hopeless at figuring out acronyms.

Naming and shaming is all well and good but leaves the forum wide open to abuse. It has happened on many occasions.

Iwas in HH in may from the 10th to the 28th. I'm coming back in October on the same date, same departure date.
If I could afford it I'd be resident in Hua Hin.

Well richard, my general policy in a bar is find out the price of a beer, pay for them as you have them. I never really run 'bills' or 'tabs', for the simple reason that I just don't trust them to get it right.

Always know where I am and gives me the choice to 'do a sharp harp' quickly if needed.

Np problem. It seems I have some bizarre form of dickslecksier that stops me from figuring out acronyms even when they are obvious to other people.

IME (in my experience) disputes on bills are about 50/50 each way. The pay as you go system used in the UK and Oz has its benefits. It also helps limit your alcohol consumption.

The ex leader of the Tory party can calculate 14 x 3 pounds = 41 pounds. When the 41 pounds ran out he knew it was time to go home.
