Also I see that Gladiator 2 finally hit over the weekend, at last!
It actually hit Hua Hin's cinemas on 14 Nov.

Being someone who hates all cinemas except the gold class ones in Dubai, I was talking about hitting torrent sites. :)

But anyway, did you watch it?

Pirate bay? The images I've looked at for some offerings don't look very crisp. I believe there's a digital release date for 24th December now, so that's when I expect YTS to have it. Have you found a good download?

The system I have has had it for a couple of weeks, but NOT great quality. As it is intended on being a "Spectacular Viewing Experience", I'm solely tempted to go to the cinema for the first time in donkey's - I'm certainly not going to watch a "below par" version.

Above certainly not meant as a pop against CJ's post above, just my preference :thumb:

A misunderstanding is all this is. :) When we talk here about a film hitting the torrent sites, we generally mean the full quality releases, not the HDTS or CAM releases which appear soon after a film comes to the big screen and are recorded in a cinema, with low quality images and even worse quality sound (unless sound has been ripped separately and might be slightly better). The good quality releases usually come weeks after a film has been released to cinemas and then to streaming sites (or DVD, is that still a thing? No idea ....).

Patience is a virtue my friend!

Yes, the BAUCKLEY release on PB was certainly good enough for me.

I'm very much looking forward to this too. Any upcoming movie directed by Robert Eggers (The Witch, The Lighthouse, The Northman... just the three he's done, all great) is eagerly anticipated. There's a documentary that came out yesterday on Nosferatu and for the life of me I can't find a download anywhere.

'Just in time for Robert Eggers’ highly anticipated Nosferatu reimagining to hit cinemas on New Year’s Day, a gripping new documentary sheds light on the origins of one of horror cinema’s most influential creations

Nosferatu – The Real Story, directed by acclaimed filmmaker Robin Bextor, is set to arrive on UK digital platforms on 16 December 2024, courtesy of Reel 2 Reel Films. The documentary delves into the tumultuous history of Fw Murnau's 1922 silent masterpiece, Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror.'

Anyone out there can find it for free?

I watched a 1080 download from PB. Quality was ok for me, probably not for those experts with a home cinema, although at one point there was briefly an odd message that "consuming alcohol is detrimental to health", and the ending was rather abrupt, probably a minute or 2 before the end credits.

I wasn't hugely impressed with Paul Mescal. He looked too old for the timescale (i.e. 16 years after Maximus), though I was surprised to find from Google that he's still under 30, and he is unlikely to get any less muscular roles. The fighting/arena scenes were pretty good, and the mad twin emperor/gods were acceptable. The last half hour was better than the rest, and while there was no wow factor for me, I didn't feel it was a complete waste of a couple of hours.

Damned by faint praise? Dunno.

Young Woman and the Sea is a very good movie. Echoes of Boardwalk Empire/Chariots of Fire. Fascinating true story. Really enjoyed it.
