Locations that serve a "good" American / English breakfast.

Restaurants, food, beverage, hawkers, and local markets and suppliers. This is the place for discussion on Hua Hin's culinary options.

^ It came to 260 baht, per my records. I’m sure that included a tip, but I can’t remember how much I gave. Probably 40 baht tip.

Guys, we don't need the photographs repeated over and over again with replies as it eats up server money. Please try to delete them from your quote, or we'll handle it if they do come through.

If memory serves me right....

Standard(small) is 149
Big is 199

As this thread is about locations, then what I'm finding more and more is that i want to eat my 'full English' in a nice peaceful relaxing setting

I find that Pats can be hard going on the eardrums when those god awful trucks go past with what should be illegal exhaust pipes! As youre sitting right on Soi 94 itself

(other than that I like Pats)

So if anyone can recommend such a quiet place I'd be very grateful! ImageImage

Hua Hin Fishing Lodge certainly meets that requirement. Outside of that, I can't think of anywhere totally devoid of noise.

I agree with you on the tranquility of setting. It can have a large bearing on whether the meal is pleasurable or not. Case in point: I love sushi, and the best local sushi, in my opinion, is at Aroi on Soi 6. There are two other Aroi locations in Hua Hin, but the one on Soi 6 just seems to be a bit better in terms of quality. However, that location is right on the street and the noise is terrible! It might be the loudest restaurant in Hua Hin. And they even have a privacy wall and foliage set up. It makes me think twice about going there.

As far as a bucolic setting for breakfast…I haven’t tried it, but I’ve heard from other guys on this site that the fishing lodge place up here in Hin Lek Fai is pretty sweet.

Just shows how we all see things differently. Those sausages look insipid to me. And theres no mushrooms and half a roasted or grilled tomato is never enough for me. And egg? Well, sadly I have an egg allergy, which is why I always prefer places that have a menu that let's you put together your own brekkie, without going through the whole messy ordering experience of, 'erm, can I have an extra sausage instead of the egg please', which I hate, especially here.

I will give the Lodge a try, thank you and others for mentioning it

I don't expect nor am I seeking "Totally devoid of noise". But somewhere a little more tranquil than Pats

The Euro Deli sausage place is not too bad for noise, might go there again

Happy coffee(102) is quite quiet, pleasant surroundings but the Brekky is a distinct 6/10 affair

And whilst I'm at it I don't want noisy kids nor bloody smokers!

I'm not asking a lot! ImageImage

A friend of mine tries a different breakfast place each week as part of a Breakfast Club. A few weeks ago he recommended The Irish Embassy, which is part of the Circle bars.

We went there last week, but were told, sorry, the kitchen is closed. We returned this morning, only to be told there's a St Paddy's Day party at 3 with free food - come back then, to which I simply voted with my feet. There were 5 very dedicated Balloon Chasers sat outside waiting to claim their free food.

We walked outside, and saw the bar next door, Cheers advertising an All Day Breakfast. That'll do we said. Sat down, and a very pleasant young lady took our order - 2 large breakfasts @ 199฿ and 1 small breakfast @ 149฿.

The large breakfast consisted of 2 eggs cooked to your liking, 2 very nice looking sausages (of course, not to MY liking :D), 2 slices of bacon, baked beans, mushrooms, tomato, 2 thick slices of toast with jam and butter, orange juice, tea or coffee.

A very pleasant airy environment. The only problem was The Irish Embassy next door were playing what sounded very much like a very poor Val Doonican meets Michael Flatley tribute act at very high volume, polluting the bars either side.

OK, it's rare to find a sausage that I like, but outside of that, I'd fully recommend this Cheers Bar breakfast - excellent value, and very easy car parking - just a shame about the noise pollution. We say outside - when we go again, we'll try sitting inside to try to avoid the very bad sounds.

Were the Val Doonican meets Michael Flatley sounds spoiling the experience?

Yes, but I'm trying to determine if today was a one-off noise experience.

I saw an almost identical post on FB today from the Wado Karate teacher. Perhaps you were the guy in blue sitting across from him in his pictures? Haha, don’t worry, your face wasn’t showing! I’ll have to give Cheers a try.
