So, to get the vaccination certificate/passport, I just need to bowl up at HHH enquiry desk at the main entrance with my original appointment card that shows I got both jabs and make a request. Is that correct?
As things start to open up here, the chances of my making a visit to the UK are growing. I'm not worried about the hospital paperwork for entry to the UK (10 days self-isolation here I come) but I want to make my life easier when I return so I don't get hit with quarantine as I'm fully jabbed up.
I appreciate that Thailand's entry requirements are in a state of flux at the moment so I'm not rushing off to book flights quite yet but I'm sure that the certificate/passport will make life more simple.
Thanks for any help.
you need a copy of your passport (also original to show) and a copy of your vaccination document with the QR code.
At Hua Hin hospital :
- going in through the main entrance
- on the right there is the information desk
- show copies and passport to the young person who speaks good English
- following this, you'll need to go to the cashier on the left, counter n° 7, handing over copies and 50 baht for which you get a receipt
- back to information desk, signing copy of passport and writing a phone number where you can be reached
- give everything to the lady
- she will return the receipt (which needs to be shown when picking up the certificate)
- she will phone in 4 weeks time to tell you that the certificate is ready to be picked up
Do you know if the above procedure also will be applicable for they who got their shots at Bangkok Hua Hin Hospital and have got a vaccine certificate with a QR code and a message from the hospital (BHH) to go to Hua Hin hospital for issuance of vaccine passport? Not that I have any plans about travelling abroad but should anyway like to have the vaccine passport.
Thank you,
hahuahin.
Yes it is, I had the Johnson and Johnson vaccine at Bangkok hospital Hua Hin and got the document from HHH 2 weeks later, also applied for my husband who was vaccinated at Cha Am hospital but was told the wait is 4 weeks now as they have many demands.

You say many demands, do that include long queue also to deliver documents etc.at the hospital or the wait before receiving the vaccine passport.

It looks like Mor Phrom is now ready to accept applications for vaccine passports (international certificates).
You can use the app or use LINE.

Thanks again. Was there today and even if I arrived later than planned it hardly took more than 5-10 minutes. However 2 months waiting time for the vaccine passport. Anyway not a problem I don't need it now, but for me personally more about doing what I can regarding vaccine status.

2 months sounds an awfully long waiting time. I've not tried it, but is it any faster doing it online through Mor Phrom?

There are faster ways - drive to Prachuap hospital and do it there - 1-week turnaround.

I think also many of us could get a validated EU vaccine passport with contacting our GP /Health provider in home country and send them the vaccine certificate either as attachment to an e-mail or by post and the vaccine certificate will be checked and accepted and then we either get the vaccine passport (for they who use apps and phone) sent to our phone or in paper format by post.

I Googled "vaccination passports" and what you see and read is enough to send a person into a deep depression. The entire planet is in a state of confusion about requirements, phone applications, what will be accepted and not accepted.
I also stumbled upon Bumrungrad Hospital's webpage about getting a Vaccination Passport from them, and it stated they are only valid for 3 months.

No idea if that is old or current info.
At the moment the process everywhere seems nothing but a big mess.

That's being very optimistic - I doubt very much any EU health ministry would be able to (or want to) validate a Thai-issued certificate with all the details in a Thai database ... in Thai.
It would have been very easy for the WHO to provide guidelines on a global standard for a certificate/passport with all details in one globally accessible database on their servers, or even better an immutable ledger on the blockchain. But no, every country wants to do its own thing.

I
Am an EU National, But I Have Been Vaccinated Outside the EU. Can I Get a Certificate?
The Member States are advised to issue the vaccination certificates to their citizens, even if the latter have been vaccinated in another country, including in third countries.
In order for the traveller to be able to get the vaccine, he/she should be vaccinated with one of the EU-approved vaccines. The Member States, can, however, issue the certificate even to those who have been vaccinated with other vaccines if they are willing to do so.

This is just what one media outlet is reporting, doesn't mean it actually happens! I'd like to hear from someone that has gone to the UK/EU with a Thai vax cert and been able to get the UK/EU equivalent right away just from showing that.

Plenty of sites on Googun reporting the same, not just one.

I think that might be a bit tricky.
I'd reckon anyone going back to the UK right now would have to do 10 days self-isolation - mind you, better than 10 days lock up and the cost,
I'm more concerned about getting back here to Thailand. That's the point for me.
