If anybody is interested, we have a mini-van running to Ratchaburi on Saturday to watch top of the table (Champions elect) Buriram playing Ratchaburi, who are chasing this year's last Asian place, and are playing the best football I've ever seen them play.

We currently have 6 spare seats, and the bus will depart at 3pm on Saturday. It should be a great game, with both teams really needing to win. If interested, PM me. This is not for profit - costs will be shared evenly amongst those travelling.

It has been announced today that Bangkok Utd will share BG Pathum's beautifully refurbished stadium from next season. The Stadium will be re-named True BG Stadium.

IMHO a very good move, getting away from the very ugly Thammasat Stadium, which always seems a good hour past Bangkok. OK, harsh on local supporters, but they aren't very well supported anyway.

It was amazing. A draw might have been a fairer result, but it's set up a grandstand finish to the last day of the season.

Buriram and Bangkok Utd just one point between them for the championship. BG Pathum and Ratchaburi - 3 points in it for 3rd place.

A real nail biter for the last day.

BTW, I have 3 free tickets for Wednesdays FA Cup 1/4 final if anybody fancies joining me on my rail adventure. As usual, PM me and first come, gets the tickets.

I think there's BIG TROUBLE ahead for Thai Football. Anybody who watches the Thai game will realise it has very little to do with the 2 football clubs. It is often all about the referee. Dare I say it, the game is corrupt. Even VAR is used to justify the corruption.

The following statement has been issued by quite a few T3 clubs (not only Songkhla, but the corruption is not just limited to T3. Referees are regularly suspended for 1 or 2 months, but their 'compensation' more than compensates for the punishment.

Quite often, good football will win through, but it hurts a lot when your team is beaten by corruption. The last time it happened to me, I had travelled to Sukhothai, including overnight accomodation. A perfectly good goal was disallowed, which resulted in the ref being suspended for 2 months. The result stood. It stinks.
From the incidents that happened in the Thai League 3 football industry, especially during the Champions League competition, which is a competition to find a professional football team to be promoted to Thai League 2, there have been repeated incidents for many seasons and this season, there have been reports from witnesses and many unusual incidents, which should not happen in the Thai football industry. The results of winning or losing should be measured only on the field. There should be no hiring or bribing of referees or bribing opposing players to fix matches. We have experienced such incidents and do not want them to happen again. Please have mercy on the athletes who have been fighting throughout the zone rounds until reaching the Champions League round. Please sympathize with many clubs that invest no less than 10 million per season, but in the end, they have to be ruined by such actions or processes. In the end, the referees were suspended for only 1-2 months, but they received much more compensation. The relevant parties should consider and investigate, ban the clubs that hire and referees from the football industry.

Songkhla FC Club would like to support the Football Association of Thailand under Royal Patronage, together with Thai League Company Limited and the Disciplinary and Etiquette Committee, to jointly suppress the hiring of match-fixing and bribing Thai League referees. In order to achieve the results that the employer wants, Songkhla FC wants to develop the regional football league to be international, with clean decisions, free from outside interference.

I sincerely hope that we will be a small voice to those involved in this matter, help take care of and consider carefully and appropriately so that many professional football clubs who are determined, devote their physical and mental strength and investment will have the encouragement to continue playing football. I believe that this is a part of the development of Thai football from the grassroots level that is important.

An interesting development for tomorrow's Chang FA Cup semi-finals. The officials are being brought in from China and South Korea.

I think that says a lot about Thai officials. I know it will be seen as sour grapes, but the last time Ratchaburi were in the FA Cup final, the opposition most definitely had the ref on the payrole, and he exploited VAR to its fullest i.e. putting the heat on VAR, taking the heat off himself.

Thai Football :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Ratchaburi Football Club have been fined 100,000฿ for going public about both team's agreeing the pitch was unplayable for last Saturday's League Cup semi-final, but when they approached the Chinese referee, he could not understand either coach, and the game went ahead in terrible conditions.

Notwithstanding the inability to play football on the pitch, there was a huge health & safety issue.

Personally, I'd travelled to Chonburi by taxi for the game, but would not have complained if the game had been postponed - the pitch was clearly not fit for purpose. Ratchaburi's coach Jeab claimed the referee was only interested in playing the game, getting paid and returning to China.
