"BANGKOK — There’s nothing like a rainy mid-July monsoon afternoon, with the exact same downpours the day before and the day after. Get ready for a week-full of showers straight till Sunday.
Bangkok will see a 70 percent chance of rain right until Sunday, the Thai Meteorological Department said today – so don’t get sick of puddly BTS queues just yet. Temperatures will range from 24C to 34C, so pack a windbreaker along with that umbrella.
In the northern, Isaan and eastern provinces there will be a 60 percent chance of rain until Thursday, but all provinces will see a 70 percent probability of downpours Friday through Sunday, according to predictions. The rains last week struck Nakhon Sawan in the central region particularly hard, causing flash floods and interrupting everyday lives.".....

Been raining most the day here in Bang Saphan from a light drizzle to a moderate rain.
The proper function of man is to live, not to exist. I shall not waste my days in trying to prolong them. I shall use my time.

"Heavy rain to lash 59 provinces during July 14-18
July 14, 2017 Nanthida Kumari
THE Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation has warned 59 provinces across the country to be ready to cope with heavy to very heavy rain during July 14-18, 2017, Thai News Agency said.
Chatrachai Phanomlert, the department’s director-general, said the Thai Meteorological Department pointed to a low pressure cell in the South China Sea which has now moved to the Gulf of Tonkin off north Vietnam and Laos together with a strong southwest monsoon in the Andaman Sea and Thailand as bringing heavy to very rain across the country over the next few days.
Chatrachai warned that the heavy rain might lead to sudden floods and forest runoffs with the downpours starting in the Northeast, East and South first and after that moving to the North and Central regions, the eastern part of the South and Bangkok and surrounding provinces.
Chatrachai has told district disaster prevention and mitigation offices to be ready to cope with heavy rain and that they should issue weather warnings and follow the conditions all 24 hours particularly if the volume of rainfall is 90 millimeters an hour and when water is released from dams.
They were also told to get all necessary equipment ready to help victims in risky areas.
“People in risky areas are warned to be careful of danger from heavy rain and closely follow the weather forecast while also paying close attention to advice on preparing for floods.”
Those in trouble should dial the hotline 1784 all 24 hours to get speedy help.".........

Re: Weather in Hua Hin & Thailand
The synoptic charts show a stationary front over southern China, which has been there for a couple of days. There is a huge area of high pressure in the Western Pacific that is blocking the SW Monsoon. The isobars are very far apart, which results in low wind speeds. Probably see a lot of cloud cover but very little rain until the SW flow can increase.

Erm, this oldtimers disease is a bitch! Forgot to add that the TS "Talas" off the coast of Vietnam is predicted to move North West and that will bring heavy rain to Vietnam, Laos and the north of Thailand, and maybe into southern China.
