I renewed last week online three days before the 90 were up. so it's fine.

I had online rejections I think only when I was confused/forgot what date to put for issuing of visa. I sometimes put the date of the issuing of my original visa years ago (the yearly stamps are only extensions, aren't they? I'm too logical I guess). At Bluport the IO showed my which date to use, the last entry stamp, and I've marked it in biro to ingrain it in my head. I hope that's right! :D

I had the same problem earlier in the year. They said that after returning to Thailand, the first renewal had to be in person. I did it in Bluport and now have used the online system again two days ago - successfully.

Previously, like you, I used to wait for the original 90 days to expire before I bothered to apply online. It seems they have changed their process again.
Thats useful info Houdi, thanks. I'll pop into Bluport later

I used to feel a little bit smug when I read of people having problems with doing 90 day reports on-line. I have successfully been using on-line reporting for my wife and I for exactly 4 years, and never had the slightest problem ..............until now!!! :(

This was my first report since returning to Thailand almost 3 months ago. I have read that the first report after returning has to be in person, however I have on at least two occasions successfully reported on-line after returning to Thailand!!

I guess they have changed the rules again, to keep us jumping through hoops!! :cuss:

So a trip to Cha-am tomorrow, ..... It's been that long since I physically had to do a 90 day report, I've forgotten what I need if anything.

Hopefully it’s no more than making you go in person if you’ve returned after being away (I too have been away and been able to do the report online) - apart from the TM47 form to complete, I’m fairly certain you only need your passport as well. Let us know how you get on.

I forgot to come back to this.

I returned from Laos 12th September and as discussed above, my online application to renew from 4th November was rejected. I had to be in Bangkok for a routine hospotal check up just before the 4th and when I did report, before I left, I forgot it was a public holiday and the office was closed.

Now I know that the rule is, or maybe isn't(?) that you have 90 days after returning to the Country, which took me though to December, but I was uneasy about walking around with a physically out of date stamp in my passport. And I completely forgot to go into the office when I got back home on the 5th November and only remembered on the 11th, just within the timescale to officially report up to 7 days after the deadline date.

I explained my dilemma to the IO, I saw her check my date of re-entry, and then without uttering a single word to me, recorded my attandance and gave me 90 days from 11th, meaning I am next required to report on 8th February. Hopefully I can do that on-line!

Well I took a trip up to Cha-Am immigration yesterday to see why my 90 day on-line report had been rejected. :cuss:

I decided to hand over our passports with the completed TM47 and not mention the on-line rejection.

Two minutes later the Immigration lass brought our passports back, with the 90 day report completed. She indicated that "next" time I could do on-line.

Apparently, the first report after returning to Thailand has to be done in person, but thereafter on-line is fine.

I did point out that in 2022 and 2023 I had successfully carried out the "first" report on-line without any problems, however there was no point in pursuing it with the young lass, and it doesn't change anything! They make the rules!

Going forward I will still try and do the "first" report on-line, nothing to lose and possibly saves a fairly long trip to Immigration ........... especially if you're too busy chatting and are nearly at Tha Yang before you get a u-turn to get back to Immigration Cha-Am!!!

If I was braver, I would try and do my 90 day report even when I'm out of Thailand, afterall they do send you a polite email to remind you that it is due even when you have left the country. Their systems cannot be connected up ...... This would negate the need for a "first" report :naughty:

Finally it must have been just after 4:00pm when I arrived at Immigration and it was totally deserted apart from staff.

I've actually done this and it worked with a VPN set to Thailand. Also used the online reporting for years without a glitch ... until this year when the system went tits up again and I had to go in person.

I arrived from the US on September 18 of this year.

On September 19th I went to Immigration for my extension of stay. At the same time they did a 90 day report. I haven't left Thailand since then.

I did an online report yesterday which was rejected because:

"For first-time requests of a 90-day notification in each country visit, in-person presentation at the immigration office is required."

Well, my "first-time" request was on September 19th and I haven't left Thailand since then. So why is this report considered "first-time"?

I asked my wife. She said, "their understanding of first-time is different from yours".

She has to go to Immigration with a client tomorrow so I'm leaving it up to her to hash out the definition of "first-time".

Yet another "Adventure in Wonderland".

My online application was rejected again, the fourth time this year, but last year it was approved four times and this year I did the same. Today I went to Blueport and they couldn't tell me the reason why. At 11am there were about 20 people waiting, so I got it after 30 minutes of waiting.

Definitely one of the frustrations - for some it works all the time, for others never and for many it’s hit and miss.

My 90 day was up today so I went and filled out the form online. I submitted it at 8:55am this morning and recieved an email approving it at 3:02 pm today.
