Just like Hua Hin, the rain was not all over Bangkok. Where I am in the eastern part there was very little rain.
On Monday morning there was a big downpour in my area that did not get a mention anywhere else. Just the same, if there were in fact 200 mm in some areas, then no amount of normal drainage can handle that, never mind the clogged up drains and klongs that are considered normal here!

Is it flood prone between your home and granddaughters school Nereus? You may have to break out the 4WD from time to time if uber can't make it through! Pete

Only once in the years she has been there, has the school been closed. And on that occasion she actually went to school in the morning, only to be sent home. The school is just off Rama 4 Rd, not far from the hotel you usually stay at. The road does get flooded sometimes, but usually not where we are.

I don't need no fancy space satellite to tell me that it looks like we are gonna get some rain here in the few minutes.

and a big wind storm here. Khao Takiab, with a very dark cell overhead.

For us unfortunate souls at work overseas, pictures would be much appreciated if severe weather occurs in Hua Hin. Main road, town center and Soi 80-94 is of great interest.

I don't know what the quality is like yet, but i was called upon to do the school run this afternoon. Unfortunately, I didn't have my own car, but the dash cam was on - I'll see what it looks like.

The video will be just over 20 minutes long, with the worst in Naebkehardt Road, where people had to wade in and out of the school.

Really underwater on the Rayong coast this morning. Line after line of storms coming in off the sea since 0400. Actually getting dangerous as water deep on the roads. Last 1/2 school day for the daughter for the year......will be an interesting drive in a few minutes! Pete

Here it is..... For some reason, the camera didn't record the best part of the flood, and don't forget, I was driving a normal car, so avoided puddles wherever possible. This is about as good as its been this year.

storm cell over khao Takiab now. Moderate rain. I would not want to be walking or on my motorcycle but no big deal other than that. Thunder lightning moderate winds.
