It is interesting as it appears they've come out with Halloween style Covid masks this month just in time. :D

Actually they've been available for months. I've not bought any because being optimistic, I thought masks would vanish just around the corner. Realising that they're here for the foreseeable, I ordered a selection. Online and from China so there is the inevitable long delivery.

Do they have Xi, Mao, Biden, Trump, Boris, Merkel, Macron, or Prayut, masks?

Got mine last Halloween, Freddy. Even more useless than 'approved' masks, which I don't own any of. Meets the 'entry' requirements, if any, of businesses. That's all that matters. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Of course. There's lots of companies and images to choose from. You can even get your own face printed on a mask so as to appear you're not wearing one!!

Just send a photo of pretty much anything and they'll make whatever you want.

Careful with that, as I know the local Lotus Mall, the facial temp / mask monitor won't open 'gates' if I cover the mask, whether with my hand or elbow. Though may be something other the facial recognition, possible heat variant / distribution.

Does open for my Freddie mask:

Most face mask brands fail quality test standards
Only a fifth of 60 face mask brands available on the market passed Thai Industrial Standard quality tests, according to the Thailand Consumer Council (TCC).

The result prompted the TCC to demand the Thai Industrial Standards Institute require that disposable face masks follow safety standard regulations, instead of this being done on a voluntary basis.

The TCC in July randomly selected for testing 60 face mask brands including 14 kinds of disposable face masks, 27 brands of surgical face masks and 19 different N95 face masks. Testing involved assessing their quality based on filter efficiency of 0.1 micron and 0.3 micron, air permeability and pressure difference to find whether each mask complied with the standard.

 The fifth that passed are unlikely to stand up to global standards if Thai standards are the benchmark.

Masks in shops in Hua Hin

I went this morning in 3 shops in city. All are closed shops (not selling outside). And staffs don't wear masks. Only when they see a customer coming in. Nobody told them that it is wortless to do this way ? When in closed area, masks should be wear almost all the time. Not only when one customer is in view. Breathed air accumulate in the volume of the shop and at the end of the day you have enough virus to get someone sick....Really upset to see that because if we have another raise of cases, it will be easy to spread with this kind of attitude...

Iโ€™m sure itโ€™s not done deliberately to increase the risk, just down to ignorance in not realising the risks.

Not ignorance, knowledge of the uselessness.

Thereโ€™s still no good evidence for the effectiveness of masks. They are just a visual indicator of compliance and a comfort blanket for those that have been driven to hysterical levels of fear by the relentless propaganda from the governments and mainstream media.
For some real world examples, Germany mandated N95 masks at the beginning of this year. They made no difference. In the UK Wales and Scotland continued the mask mandate while England dropped it until this week. There has been no difference in the rate of cases.

Before the virus, you weren't allowed to cover your face when entering a bank, since the virus you're not allowed to enter a bank without a mask. The question arises; have there been more bank robberies since the advent of mask-wearing?

A very stupid and vicious question.

It's never been said that mask wearing will stop the spread of covid. It's always stated that masks along with other precautions will help. Masks on their own without other precautions is not enough.
Can face masks help slow the spread of the coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) that causes COVID-19? Yes. Face masks combined with other preventive measures, such as getting vaccinated, frequent hand-washing and physical distancing, can help slow the spread of the virus.

Of course there are multiple sites with the same message. This is just on I picked at random.
