You'll be fine - aim to be finished by 3, and you'll miss most of the rain.

Found this fantastic site which shows the weather real-time. It's fun looking at all the different view options, especially the wind patterns.

I've had this site bookmarked for a year or two. It does only show wind speed although that is often a good indication of the weather.

HHTel: If you click on the 'Earth' tab you can customise what you see (cloud water, etc.). You can also put a little green circle (just click the mouse) on your location. I could watch those wind lines for hours - they're totally mesmerising.

Thanks for that VS. Had this all this time and never knew you could customise it. I'll be watching it more now. What a sad life we lead!!

The monsoon season has now officially arrived on the southwest coast of India. That event is really the bellwether for the monsoon here in Thailand as well. We should see the wet stuff picking up in frequency now :D . Pete

Monsoon arrives over Kerala coast, will cover rest of India by July 15

You folks in Hua Hin should get a good soaking this evening, if not already. Hitting me now heavily and radar shows it came directly west to east from your side hitting Sattahip. Pete

We had a good heavy downpour this morning and it seems a lot more to come.

Today east to west it seems. Watch the below as could make landfall in Hua Hin. Radar image usually an hour old. Pete

I dont know how you long residents of Hua Hin look at it but if the last three months carries any weight on a comparative basis you dont have much of weather at all but a very stable all year season. Hmm.... think I begin to understand why this place is so popular for Northern Europeans and Scandinavians. :)

I do not know where you are coming from with this. April and May are the most uncomfortable weather months and this year has been the hottest for 80 years and also experienced the longest heatwave for 65 years ( as reported ) !!

" a very stable all year season."

So there was no drought. The weather has been the same throughout the last year.

i could be wrong.

but i think we are about to get slamed with a wall of water in HH.

look at the loop and the giant mass that is forming to the east and moving due west very fast directly at HH:
