Right!?
Unfortunately the daily mail comment section is mostly an anti-vax 'covid's a lie' kinda vibe. That was the first comment I've seen saying that doctors and nurses are now purposely making children sicker, though. Reached new levels of stupidity.
I don't trust children. They're here to replace us.

Unfortunately, comments like that have been around for a while now. They seem to be especially prevalent in the US, for instance.
I've read a couple of articles recently about health care workers in the US despairing about the amount of anti-vax sentiment in general and in particular about people accusing them of deliberately making people sicker and/or falsifying Covid diagnoses to inflate the figures and make money for their hospital.
Here's just one example, with people in Virginia telling their local hospital staff that Covid is a hoax - sometimes even after having been sick of it.
Back to the real world for a moment. Those who got their first AZ jab on time on 7 and 8 JUNE will have their 2nd shot postponed until September. I think at least one forum member falls into this group.
Judging from my wife's case - vaccinated on 14 July - her second shot will still be as originally planned. So this postponement may only affect those vaccinated on 7-8 JUNE.
Also, it looks like original queue numbers will be in use for 2nd shots.

This seems to confirm that the army is getting the Pfizer shots.
Soldiers on frontline deserve Pfizer shots too, angry netizens told
The picture of a soldier getting a Pfizer shot in Loei province went viral on Sunday, with netizens asking why the much-needed vaccine is being administered to troops instead of frontline medics.
The sergeant posted a picture of himself holding a queue card at Loei Hospital on Sunday with the caption: “Dear ‘Moderna’, I can’t wait for you anymore. Today I will be cuddling with ‘Pfizer’ instead.”
The post with the hashtag “#WhereHasPfizerGone?” went viral immediately with netizens questioning the need to give soldiers a Pfizer jab instead of to frontline medics or Loei residents.

After reading that Washington Post article, the following came to mind:
Many of us have denigrated the Thai people as being stupid. Much of that is down to the education, or lack of it, here in Thailand. It appears that in the US, either education is not working, or people (some not all) are incredibly stupid, almost to the point of wearing a perceived badge of honour - I AM INCREDIBLY STUPID. More and more 'anti-vaxxers' are becoming ill from Covid with some losing their lives. Almost without exception, while on their hospital bed, they admit that they were wrong and wished they had taken the vaccine.
Even then, as the article points out, there are some that have recovered that don't recognise the health workers for pulling them through. Instead they attribute it to God!!
Thailand is one of the top countries with the least vaccine hesitancy. This hesitancy is falling across the globe - except in the US where many still believe it's a hoax!
So in the 'stupidity' ranking, the US is far ahead of Thailand.
Oh, we have our fair share in the uk HHTel. The US just has more due to a bigger population. Have a read through comments on ANY covid related article on the daily mail. It's disheartening.
Then you have the likes of supposedly educated people like Piers Corbyn (the most punchable man on the planet, for me) spewing his covid conspiracy/anti-vax stuff in London protests.
We got our dumb dumbs. A LOT of them.

Thailand achieved that twice last week.
Then it all grinds to a halt at weekends and holidays, dragging down the daily average. The two big jab days appear to be anomalous spikes (probably the army and police getting their third ones ) - we'll see what happens this week.

Yes, it slows down, but we all need to rest sometime. Delivering almost 200,000 shots a day when we're 'at a halt' is pretty good going in my book. I know we've had this conversation elsewhere, but Thailand is now 26th in the world by volume of vaccines delivered. For a 3rd world country which all agree has cocked-up big time, Thailand is making an excellent recovery. It's just a shame there is so much reliance upon Sinovac and Sinopharm.
Those that have already had a shot will have changed their tune saying it has been an "excellent recovery" while those still at the back of the queue are likely to see things differently.
In terms of doses administered per % of the population, Thailand is down in 137th globally according to CNN.

Atrocious in my book.
