BaaBaa - you were offering Benitez to us at Spurs when the rumours of 'Arry departing were rife

I hope he gets a job soon - the 'poon could do a lot worse than take him back 8)

The other Scot ex Aston Villa is available :duck:

Perhaps they could persuade Barton to go into management - real nice guy and great role model it seems

Any team that allows Barton to play for them will lose any ounce of respect I may have had for said team, and should lose the respect of the rest of the footballing world IMO.

I do tend to agree that the best hope Liverpool have of bringing back the glory days is Benitez......failing that,Roy Hodgson might be available again after England crash out, pointless, from the Group Stages of Euro 2012 !! :D .......but lets not go there,eh.
If it's not Rafa I hope Klopp is top of the list, he's a badass.

Two excellent ex-Chelsea keepers in that last photo manhandling the thug.

Eddie Niedzwiecki & Kevin Hitchcock! Good to see both of them doing well.

Actually, from the beeb, some interesting comments from Dave Whelan, Wigan owner:

"The Liverpool hierarchy is non-existent at present We played there about three months ago and there was not one soul in the boardroom.

"There doesn't seem to be any heart in the club. I was a little disturbed because to me Liverpool is one of the great football clubs.

"There's no heart beating in the club. You've got to put the heart in Liverpool."

Just been reading about the dirtiest teams in the league last year. Spurs were good boys in 18th. Chelsea took the 'prize' with 74 yellows and four reds. John Terry was the worst offender.

Dave Whelan is a gobshite, I've said so before.

Martinez is a decent bloke but he shouldn't be the next manager of Liverpool.

Why not?
After all he is an 'ez'

Benitez
Suarez
Martinez

Got a nice ring to it :duck:

BTW you could have had our Gomez if you played your cards right :run:

On a serious note - this one could develop into an interesting saga. One of the first jobs that a new manager will have to do is prevent an exodus of players - not easy

A manager is the face of a modern football club and I would think Americans want someone who, as well as a football brain, has charisma, charm, presentability and good communication skills. All qualities lacking in Kenny Dalglish, and perhaps reasons for his sacking.

Like Ferguson?

I agree you need those things and Kenny has them but not to certain media outlets, he perhaps went too far sometimes but I supported it on the whole, they'll only write what they want whether you give them Tea and Biscuits and friendly soundbites or not.
His press conferences held at the club are the polar opposite of the quick after match interviews.
Benitez was the same, F**k em!

Not a likeable character but I suppose his record gives him the right to be a miserable old git.
