It'll count down from 15% to 0% in about 30 seconds then shut itself off.
You should really try and avoid your battery getting that low wherever possible as regularly draining the battery will drastically shorten it's lifespan. Get yourself a portable charger and keep the charge topped up whenever you can.

Just as oil`s ain`t oils, Sol, all "lithium" batteries are not made equal! But I have not come across any reference to "drastically shorten life span" by charging too often.
Unlike Ni-cad batteries, which will eventualy build up a "memory" if not charged correctly, Lithium do not have this problem. What is important is that the charger is matched to the individual type of battery being charged.
Also, what you are seeing as 15%, or whatever, is software generated and may not be the actual remaining charge, but a figure to ensure that the battery does not become over discharged.

I frequently run mine (playing games) until it shuts down by itself in the middle of a game because the battery is at zero. So far I've noticed no difference in battery life. Another unrecommended thing I do is charge it overnight so that it is plugged in much longer than it needs to be. Despite the warnings this hasn't seemed to effect battery life either.

Has anyone played with the Galaxy S5 yet?

I upgraded from an S3 to an S4 when it came out and was really pleased with the difference. Does the S5 offer that much of an improvement or is it like the recent iPads and iPhones where, sometimes, you really don't notice much?

Will obviously go through reviews on the net, but it's sometimes nice to get a first hand account from someone here too.

I don't think many people outside of the event where they announced and showcased the S5 has had their hands on one yet.

The extra battery life alone may make it worthwhile to some people...

I am impressed with Mrs Almirante's S4 mini, the price was good too.
I was over in the UK last month and it was about £90 more expensive in the vodafone shop to buy it unlocked than it was in Market village where she bought it a couple of months ago.

Apparently it's not available in Europe until early April.

The biggest electronics web shop in Norway has it at an unconfirmed date of March 5th...

I was sat at Cha-Am traffic lights for 3 minutes today waiting to turn right onto Petchkasem Road from the Beach Road. Above a shop diagonally opposite was a poster offering 5 or 6 popular phones for as low as half price. The one that sticks in my mind was the Samsung Galaxy Grand reduced from over 11,000 Baht to just over 5,500 Baht (sorry, don't remember exact numbers). There was also a Galaxy Note significantly reduced. This offer looked to be tied in with AIS.

I just thought, anybody looking for a new phone, it might be worth checking it out.

Just to prove I wasn't seeing things, Mrs BB is watching Thai TV, and I've just seen the same advert there. I wonder if the reason they're cheap is because they are locked to AIS.

Just to answer my own question... the S5 is worth the money. A quality piece of electronics. Apple phones are never worth the money - you're paying an extra 30% for the name only. Unfortunately numbnuts keep buying their over inflated priced phones so Apple will continue to get away with it. I was curious if Samsung were heading the same way as Apple but, true to their word, they aren't up for ripping people off with slight changes to an old product and calling it new...

What country does the company 'Apple' come from?
