Buksida, where did you notice the charges on your Wise holding balances? I have some in the Emergency Wallet and some in a Savings Balance, I have not put any in a Jar as yet.

I see an "Assets fee" of around $5-6 per month on the USD account and around £4-5 per month on the GBP account when there is a balance, nothing for the THB account. With these fees, it can work out quite expensive to hold a bunch of different currency accounts on Wise so I've cleared them all out.

^If you go to transactions and then "See all" you can see a statement that shows all incoming and outgoing movements, including asset fees.
I've just looked at mine and the "balance cashback" I get every month is a lot more than the "asset fees".
That's on a European account, I know other countries are maybe different.

Yes, I can see that, its where I noticed the monthly fees on each currency account.

And I see that the balance cashback is just on European accounts:

Just checked mine again under Transactions for all the balances, nothing showing for asset fees for the last year or so. Will open a 'Jar' and put some in for a while and check next month. I intend to use Wise as my main account when I retire soon, and then I will do away with Barclays, as they are threatening to close my account anyway.

I've just found this for UK registered Wise accounts, it's basically half a percent annually:

That explains it, typical that the UK accounts have the fees! The Jar interest more than covers it though so no dramas, I've zeroed the balances.

Earlier this year I transferred money from my American Express Bank account to my Wise account. I had to jump through all sorts of hoops and it took nearly a week. This time it arrived the same day. I have yet to send any to my Thai account.

I did a Wise transfer yesterday (THB wallet to Krungsri bank), and for the first time since I've been using it, it told me the funds would be available the following day (its usually within seconds). I know banks don't work on Sundays but I figured Wise would ... evidently not.

From what you have written, it seems like Wise was working on Sunday, maybe the isssue was with your banks dept. that deals with foreign transfers?

I dont think it is a foreign transfer because it is showing as coming from K-bank (which I presume Wise uses for its THB accounts). But yes, more than likely the bank holding up the process as they usually do.

I've been waiting from 7am this morning. Wise keep delaying hour by hour. Happens occasionally but feckin' frustrating

I did a transfer on Saturday (1st March) from Wise to Kbank and it took 9 seconds. The amount was just under £2,000.
