Guten Tag Everone in the Olympic Spirit!!!

Ohhh yeah the No Go Area are really a nuisense for all foreingers What comes next? Maybe the Chinese would be forcing the indvidual foreigners to mandatory visit the Jade, chinese Sillk, chinese Herbal Medicine ect. just like it is allready practiced for foreign Tour operators ( I had expirienced this allready first hand duirng my visit to Guilin and Kunming in 2005 and 06.)

WHoops!!! and their are the first few protests in the almost sufficating spirit of the Olympics in Beijung. (me gasping for Air!) And I think It's not the last ones by foreigners. I don't wanna make any estimates @ this Moment but as long as the repressions against the Tibetans and the Uigurgs still continue. the more these people will rebel the latter ones are threadning terrorist style attacks.duirng the Olympics.

Does anybody knows any Websites that streams the Beiking Olympics live over the Internet? I'm pretty sick and tired the Thai Media that has been too Thai centrics coverage on Thai TV. If anyone have a website which streams live in Englsih or German without Geoblocking please let me know ASAP.

Does anybody know any Live TV streaming Website which broadcasts The Beijing 2008 Olympics live over the Internet in English Preferably in German! When you found it please post it here ASAP. Tomorrow is opening day Ladies and Gentleguys! Watch the Opening Ceremony which should offer innovative and mindblowing effects which for me an Communications Arts Student would be very very interesting.

News Update: Those four activists arrested for protesting yesterday had been barred from entering the Country of China!!!

I was watching AsiaTV on cable this morning. They are supposed to be Thailand's only 24hr English speaking news station.

Funniest thing I ever heard, the lady presenter looked at the male presenter and said, 'The Olympic opening ceremony is today in China'.

Male Pr. 'I thought that was tomorrow, on the 8th isn't it, what's the date today?'

Lady Pr. 'Well it's the 7th today in Thailand, but I think it's the 8th in China'.

Only in Thailand.

Well the Olumpic Games are now officially Open

NAd teh Race for 302 Medals is now ON!!!

The Opening Ceremony was as I expected full of Imagination and Chinese History and had shown an impressive but yet symbolic look into Modern China!! Them Pyrotechnics display was simply Jawdropping to say the least.

The Chinese had raised the bar again in presenting an almost flawless opening of the 29th Olympic Games of modern times.
Bow the Marching in of the Teams according to the Chinese Alphabet/Hyrogyphs was reallt fustrating your don;t know waht team comes next. Thailand came as the 145 Country and the Germany as the 198's,

LAdies and Gentleguys Let the Games begin!!!!

You'e right US, the opening ceremonies were the best that I can recall seeing in decades. I hope the games are good, followed by a magnificant closing ceremony.

Unfortunately today, some crazed Chinese man stabbed to death an American tourist and severly injured his companion. Where?.... right in the middle of Beijing at a popular tourist spot. He then jumped to his death from the second floor of the location. I haven't read if he was Chinese/Chinese, or Muslim/Chinese, or perhaps a leftover brainwashed Mao follower. I guess all that will come out in future days. Not a good start to things. Look at the news on your homepage, AP and all the others are carrying the story. :( Pete

If you want to keep up with the latest standings and medal count you can do so here:

http://results.beijing2008.cn/WRM/ENG/I ... 0000.shtml

Disappointed at the lack of coverage on the UBC satellite channels, the only one I've found is a Thai channel that shows exclusive coverage of Thai only athletes crying when they fail to qualify!

If you're over there and trying to get online prepare for more disappointment:

Congrats to the Yanks. Too much firepower for the Chinese basketball team... and a lot more style. :thumb:

Also enjoyed the women's diving. Chinese girls were superb.

Hi there this understudy here with full Game report of the Basketball match between China and the US Baskerball Team.

1st half
during the first quarter the chiniese showed their precision in nailling in 9/12 Threeointerss as Us treid to pull away but where easily caught up again by Yao Ming, it was pretty much an even game up until 8 <inutes into the second quarter then the Amercans made their Physical Strength known by pulling away with ease as much 16 points by the end of 1st Half.

2nd Half
It was pretty much the same story The chinese where tall allright but they lack the big body and physical strength that these reknown NBA Players have. On a offensive rebound point Guard Carlos Booser passes over to lebron James he sees the the open Soi before him with one Chinese player in the lane he passes him cruises throught the Soi and finishes it with a Slam Dunk. another Key moment Koby Bryant see Duane Wade wide open sends his pass Wade got it the Soi wide open and he Slams it Home in his own WAade Show!!! The last 3 Min. of the Game leading as much as 30 points The Yanks gave up their half court coverage and let the chinese score some ponts. during the second half Koby Bryant was so free that he managed to score also 2 three pointers from down town.
In the end The American Mens US Basketball Team cruised through a comfortable Victory over the Chinese with the final score of 101:70

Here's a great little interactive map for anyone wanting to waste an hour looking at previous medal counts:

Wow 5 out of 5 Medals allready

I think more about Gene Doping. It;s not traceable. That's waht the experts say I'm no expert but Good for him though lets hope spm,e can stop him before he gaets all the 8 together.

Hey when times get though for him (that would never be) He could go to the pawn shop in east L.A. and sell his medals for good money!

Sorry my sarcastic side got the better of me this time around!

The Chinese gymnastic team were amazing. Little miniature dwarf people flipping and turning like a pile elastic bands unwinding...
