dear goose,
my original statement in the manyana 75 thread was that you had customers trying to get their deposits back which was true., the very next post was from sallyexpat, to which you state that you have returned her deposit.

therefore, i did know of people trying to get their deposit back but as you have corrected me then i am sorry.
is there any other part of my statement that is not true?

Splitlid quote

"this project will never be built".

I accept your partial apology now an apology regarding this sweeping statement is required. By the way your info is three months out of date as regards refunded deposits sugest you check your facts before posting dodgy remarks.

Debs and Shelia (ex-pat Sally) Unless you want to get into a slanging match I will give you this one oppertunity to put the record right. Whilst I accept that your house was nearly four months late starting construction I do not appreciate your other comments please do the right thing and confirm that your deposit was paid back in full. You might also like to tell people who helped ypou when Buddy was dying and who helped you when you were on the verge of being forceable removed friom your acconmodation.

At least splitlid is person enough to apologise and that I appreciate.

Just to correct one thing splitlid only one customer requested a refund not customers as you stated.

Still waiting for you to tell me who you are!.

Gooze,
Our mistake was agreeing 100% with splitlid. We should have been more specific. Yes we did get our deposit back in full, but not in 48 hrs and not without prodding from us. For that misinformation we extend our apologies. We signed a contract with you in late October. You said you needed the money for the full price of the land as you were going to the Land Office the following week. The land would be transfered to your company name and then into ours no later than Jan 31st 2007, per our contract. However for the four plus months you held our deposit, we repeatedly asked you to show us the land title. You continually put us off insisting that it was at the land office or you forgot to make a copy etc. At one point you admitted to us that you had never attained the land title, but you already had our money. So we continued on. You did offer to return our money at several points, but we never asked until the end. We admit we acted impulsively without enough thought and should never have sent that original email as is. We are not cowards, because we knew you would know our identity from our profile details and you did. Then you put our names and the private issues of our lives on the internet. In our opinion that is unethical and unprofessional. We always thought you were a decent guy and still do, but in our humble opinion you don't have the right to hold people's hard earned money, when you have nothing concrete to sell(i.e. no land title). We are only beginning to learn about Thai real estate laws, perhaps this is something that is done all the time and we are just ignorant. At this point we still feel you put the cart before the horse...get the land title first then you have something concrete to sell . You say you own the property now....good for you. You have worked hard for it. Why don't you put this all behind you and put front and back copies of the land title on your website and set everyone straight. One more thing...when we saw the original email inquiring about Manyana 75 our gut reaction was to help someone out. We didn't want anyone else going through months of stress and sleepless nights as we did. In retrospect we should have PM'd him directly. Our intention was not to harm you but to help someone else.
We have thought long and hard about this response....we have tried our best to be objective and fair. You asked us to set the record straight and we believe we have.
