I was simply picking up on STEVE G's comment
There are rumours that they have been talking of a joint venture with Virgin and Easyjet
I have never tried Air Asia, although they can't be any worse than long haul using Tarom or Airtours.

The Air Asia service between Udon and Bangkok is cheaper than Thai, but that saving seems to have been at the expense of reliability.

Since its introduction the Bangkok to Udon service has been subject to various delays and last minute cancellations which have caused problems to several people I know – it is especially irritating and damaging to your blood pressure when you have a connecting flights to make.

The budget airline can work if its well organised, for instance Ryanair now have a reliability record that beats many european national carriers.

So is flying with Tarom!

On my return journey, I thought I'd be clever and request an emergency aisle seat for the extra leg room. They'd actually put an extra row of seats in to what should have been the emergency aisle.
