As a matter of interest, given that a twelve month statement is only available from Bangkok, can you submit two six months statements?
Are home printed statements accepted, I imagine not?
I asked about the credit advices yesterday in BluPort, I signed a form and was assured that I would be emailed them in future, I suspect I'll still need a covering letter though.
I'm thinking ahead to next year, assuming I'm not dead or living in Eastbourne, some would say that's one and the same.

I have a 30 day tourist visa and Etihad have cancelled the flight on the 29th. We arrived on the 5th what do I need to do?

Not 100% sure but I think you can extend that visa for a further 30 days at the Imm office in Bluport. I think it will cost 1,900 baht. As for your flight status I have no idea.

lomuamart wrote:I think that's what I supplied last year, BB, although wasn't there also the need for a letter confirming the account was yours and the amount that was in it? (Don't know why the need the balance as the extension is being done on income, but..... I assume a balance of 100 THB would be fine).
If you have the full 800k( and have had since last time, no withdrawals) then im assuming all this " proof of income" is not applicable/necessary?

However please confirm

Thanks

I believe Etihad have cancelled all flights from tomorrow and at the same time transit passengers are not allowed to transit Abu Dhabi.
Emirates have suspended all flights, BA are not flying out of BKK from the weekend, I’m also aware that Turkish are not flying out of BKK.
I understand that Malaysian are flying from KLIA to LHR, but probably at inflated prices.
I understand that there’s a new Police Order allowing affected passengers to apply for an extension providing the passengers first obtain a letter from their embassy, I’m not sure which embassies are willing to comply with this requirement.
From what I saw yesterday Hua Hin Immigration staff were giving those seeking help and advice the brush off.

Yes, if you have a visa exempt stamp/visa on arrival for 30 days, you can get a 30 day extension at BluPort immigration for 1900b, no photos or documents required (despite the big poster in there telling you to prepare passport photos and the application form).

There is talk of an additional 30 day extension on account of Covid19, but I haven't seen any reports of anyone receiving this successfully yet.

You can at least buy a little time while you sort out flights, but they seem to be getting fewer and further between...my parents are here and were meant to be flying via Emirates on 31st, then it changed to 21st, then 26th, now it's not very clear whether or not Emirates are flying anything at all (they announced ALL passenger flights cancelled from 25th, then 1 hour later amended it to 'some', then the UAE government apparently banned all flights)...during that 1 hour window we bought tickets from another airline, fingers crossed it will be flying by then, 2 days in Coronatime is a looong time...

Passport only should suffice

Maybe take details of your original flight but I can't see how that's relevant now

Youre entitled to a 30 day extension as far as I know, others may correct me on here

Immigration looks to cut crowding
The Immigration Bureau (IB) wants foreign residents not to come to its offices to make their 90-day place of residence report after overcrowding put paid to its attempts at one-metre social distancing against Covid-19.

Foreigners living in Thailand are being asked to process their 90-day reports at home via an online platform or, more traditionally, by post, IB deputy spokesman Phakkhaphong Saiubon said on Wednesday.

Applicants are usually required to report in person to immigration officers to complete the procedure.

But at Immigration Bureau's Division 1 on Chaeng Watthana Road on Wednesday, the office was so overcrowded that people were forced to wait in a nearby compound that once housed a now-shut down market, officials said.

The office serves foreigners who want to renew their visas as well as migrant workers who are required to process some paperwork.

"Up to 1,000 chairs were brought into the IB building and the compound and placed at a safe distance," Pol Col Phakkhaphong said, referring to the social distancing measure. The bureau will now start working at 7am, earlier than before. However, officers admitted it was difficult to manage such large numbers of people with Covid-19 spreading.

The numbers on Wednesday were greater than those on Tuesday, following the government's announcement of the emergency decree which made many rush to report to the authorities.

The slow processing of visa renewal applications caused by social distancing on Tuesday forced some people to return to the immigration office on Wednesday.

"Why doesn't the government offer an extension application with a payment portal online?" one US citizen named only Ashok asked in a letter of complaint sent to the Bangkok Post before the IB announcement.

His 30-day tourist visa is valid until April 3 and he said he needed to get a 30-day extension.

Other foreigners also want to stay in Thailand as a result of flight cancellations and lockdowns in many countries.

I was just thinking about the 90 day thing and I thought that it would have been a good idea to suspend the requirement for the duration of the crisis. I'm not holding my breath in anticipation though.
