....and secondly, if you get offended so easily then I'd suggest you stop reading the Internet as that was pretty mild from me compared to lots else that is floating around.

I don't normally get involved in this type of thread - but put simply.............
Mr. Blue has missed the point.
It would not matter if this forum were owned by a bloody Martian - The fact is, it is operated and run in THAILAND and therefore has to abide by the Thai Laws that govern it.
Mr. Blue - I suggest you acquaint yourself with the basic requirements of these laws before you start ranting about censorship.
Oh yes - I am a Brit. OK?

Deep Blue, all the Americans I speak to in Huahin are fully capable of discoursing without resorting to profanities.

I believe Sandman decided to return to the UK for financial reasons, the only thing offensive from Baa Baa and Superjoe was their all consuming affection for Liverpool and Spurs respectively. Mr.Plum could be "controversial" at times, but agree or disagree with him he always found an internet quote to support his argument.
I seem to remember a conspiracy theorist, was it Jockey? He was always entertaining but was he and his other personae banned.
See what you`ve stirred up GLC

Child rapists and molesters and their enablers (fools that give the church money) and their accomplices and their accessories and aiders and abettors are a sensitive subject for me, especially when someone holds them up as a virtuous role-model for something ethical.Spitfire wrote:....and secondly, if you get offended so easily then I'd suggest you stop reading the Internet as that was pretty mild from me compared to lots else that is floating around.

Owned by Media Net Asia LTD, Hong Kong and the the server is in New York City, USA so there are no hate speech restrictions with criminal penalties like the UK and Europe. Talk about Muslims and Islam, make fun of the Jewish zombie sky God if you like - provided the Mods permit it but at least you won’t go to jail.Terry wrote:I don't normally get involved in this type of thread - but put simply.............

Right - bad habit for a Brit, you never know when the Royals might show up for tea.Felipesed wrote:Deep Blue, all the Americans I speak to in Huahin are fully capable of discoursing without resorting to profanities.

If you write like a rebellious adolescent going through the "I am young, therefore I know everything" phase, which perhaps you are, then you can expect your comments be treated with the disdain they deserve.Deep Blue wrote:Right - bad habit for a Brit, you never know when the Royals might show up for tea.Felipesed wrote:Deep Blue, all the Americans I speak to in Huahin are fully capable of discoursing without resorting to profanities.

Come back when you are a bit more mature!

Gaawd, that 'Deep Blue' seems like he's a few tomatoes short of a salad. A few crumbs short of a biscuit. A few sandwiches short of a picnic. A few... you get the picture - 'Not all there'.

Now now, you are stepping over the line there. There's banter and there's downright nastiness. I may just roll up one's sleeves and offer you outside for a gentlemanly chinwag if you're not careful.English humor has always sucked.

Re: Bringing Back the Banned
So Mods, as it stands posters want the banned brought back. What are your thoughts on this? With dropping numbers of posts and a less active forum - surely it could only be a good thing.
Or will you brave the storm and hope posts on 'where to find a good coffee' will keep you afloat.
