I got fined 400b for parking half on red-white for literally 2 minutes. The BiB showed up just as I was starting to drive off and blocked me with his bike. In BKK I'd have gotten out of it with a smile and a 100b 'gift'. Not in HH . By the way, he took my license and asked me to follow him to the station to pay it immediately (wtf?). If you didn't have the money on you then correct protocol is to NOT return the licence, rather confiscate it and write you a slip to confirm they have it. Your license should then be returned when you go and pay at the station.
