I don't mind it so much in a group provided they're not talking to me - if it's a big game it helps with the atmosphere. It's when I'm with one particular friend that I'd rather place my nuts in the blender on slow. Knows nothing about football but thinks he does. Can't stop talking. Is never wrong about anything. Is Scottish. Is hopefully not lurking on this forum...

You're in luck Baa Baa...

Joe Cole has showed enthusiasm about returning to pool for pre season training. He has suggested to the club that they should play him in the middle. :D

Lille want Cole to stay and West Ham are interested.

Sad about the Drog, but what a great player he has been for us - absolutely massive and never to be forgotten. Got to wish him luck with the final year or so of his career.

As for Yossi Benayoun, looks likely he'll beseeking a new club then!

Bale and Adebayor have pledged to stay at Spurs for at least another season anyway. Not sure we can afford Adebayor though. I have a feeling Modric may move on.

Oh Saha says he's staying too...

Well I'm glad to see the back of Drogba, and I mean that as a compliment. Must've been a nightmare to play against.

Word is Liverpool are getting Villas Boas with Van Gaal as DOF. I'd be happy with that as Villas Boas was my choice before he went to Chelsea, annoyed that it doesn't look like Benitez is even being talked to though.

Apparently the board who dealt with our new owners gave the impression he was "Pol Pot", but the club was in a state of civil war so he obviously was in fight mode for good reason.

Chelsea aint messing about that's for sure. They've just had a 32 million pound bid rejected - the target is a Brazilian teenager.

Far from Roman walking away from Chelsea he seems intent on investing even more.

There are plans to buy and develop battersea power station at a cost of over 1 billion, rumour is that they will call it the Battersea Drogs Home.

Also as others have said they seem to have targeted at least 4 top players in the transfer window.

Gutted about Drogba going as I cant see Torres filling his boots.

As an aside there is of course another side to Drogba, how many people realise the money he has spent on Hospitals and schools for the people of the Ivory Coast.

The plonker that is Joey Barton will have to sit out the first 12 games before he plays in the new season. Not long enough in my opinion.
