Well, strange night for the Manc teams!

United were pretty awful scraping a draw at Old Trafford against the mighty FC Basle! I can't make them out?

And Man City? Well, the poisoned dwarf Tevez refused to play tonight. He was on the subs bench, but refused to warm-up and play! He earns in a month what many get in a year. Mancini says he's out. Wouldn't be surprised to learn in the morning that he's been sacked.

Edit to add what Graham Souness, who was analaysing the game for Sky, had to say:

"He is one bad apple. He can undo all the good work that has been done (at City). He's a disgrace to football. He epitomises what most people think is wrong with modern football. It is totally unacceptable. He's a football player and he is paid to play. He is refusing to help his team-mates. It's all about him, him, him."

Whats the situation with Tevez if City sack him ? Doesnt that make him a free agent who can move to a new club for nothing ?
Or can City retain his registration somehow ? Or can they just keep on fining him indefinitely ?
Be interesting to see how this one pans out.....

Uniteds defence seems to have been weakened by the return of Ferdinand not strengthened. They need Vidic back sooner rather than later. At least they still have Welbeck,Young and Nani as scoring options in the absence of Rooney and Hernandez....makes for entertaining but also nerve wracking viewing ! 8)

£800'000 is the average yearly wage isn't it?

I do hate to see things go wrong for either of our Manchester neighbours, it was very upsetting viewing.

Man U let a 2 goal lead slip, only third in their group, are they in crisis?

Man City seem to have too many egotistical "superstars". Many of us have said that top players don`t always make a good team.

Maybe Arsenal can show them the way to do it tonight.

A good win for Arsenal with a patched-up side, not so sure what will happen at WHL though.
Hands up all those who feel sorry for Man City and their problems with Tevez.

Tevez leaves a bad taste at every club he plays for.....you wouldnt even wish him on Liverpool !
Arsenal won but not too convincing. If they lose and concede 3 or more goals this weekend against Spurs then the pressure will mount against Colonel Wenger again !
But good news for you Arsenal fans is that I've decided not to have the Spurs v Arsenal match as my Banker on IKTS.
So there is a glimmer of hope for you.......gone for Chelsea at Bolton instead ! 8)

More folly on display from our new manager tonight. No consistency in performance because of constant rotation and defensively?

Torres looked like he had each boot on the wrong foot (again)!

Didn't Samir Nasri leave Arsenal to play European football at a higher level?

Cough, cough

Lovely quote about SAF during the final 10 minutes of the FC Basel game..."You should see Sir Alex Ferguson's face. The phrase... bulldog chewing a wasp comes to mind". :neener: :neener: :duck:

Hey, would it not be wonderful if Arsenal won the Champions League this year. :naughty:
How would those players like Nasri and Cesc (and others) feel having departed for a better chance of “higher glory” winning the title of Europe’s best.

Is this just a dream?

If so please do not wake me up just yet. :duck: :naughty:
