Thaksin's youngest sister for PM
Re: Thaksin's youngest sister for PM
This pictures came out yesterday on the Thai news, quite good really. The guy in the background looking like Voldermort is a doctored picture of the crazy guy who runs all the soapy/'entertainment places that's started a party, he's number 5 I think on all the posters by the roads, got a dodgy tash too.

I would vote for her and I'd do her.

Terrorist(s) is just a word that the Abhisit supporters and the yellow shirts like to use to try and discredit the red shirts and Yingluck.

Not saying I disagree with you, but just out of interest, what term would you use to describe a group of people concealing illegal explosives, a wide variety of illegal weapons, and who then went on to torch buildings and loot shops?
Were all the affected shop owners Bangkok elite? No they were not, which is why many return to Isaan over the Thai New Year period.
All this crap that Abhisit and the military should be held accountable for the 91 deaths makes me bloody sick, especially when you consider that PTT want to bring TS back, who himself mandated the slaughter of more than 2000 SUSPECTED drug dealers WITHOUT any trail. Was he ever held accountable? No!
What about the truck load full of Muslims that were killed while he was at the helm?
Personally, while I can see big brother returning to the land of smiles, I can't see him ever being prime minister again. Put it this way, if I were him, I wouldn't come back for all the money in the world.

Don't forget that it's also a useful bargaining tool for the PT; there has been talk of a scenario where they win the election and then do a backroom deal with the military to be allowed to remain in power as long as they leave the military alone. All this crap that Abhisit and the military should be held accountable for the 91 deaths makes me bloody sick,...
It might be a plausible alternative to a rerun of the last six years, with coups, legal challenges, bloody demonstrations and unlikely coalitions.
I also agree that there could be a situation where Thaksin eventually returns but not directly involved in politics which would actually be no different to what is happening now, except for his physical location.

From afar, China, I can't help wondering why Abhisit has called an election he knows he will lose.
I've just watched him being interviewed on 'Hard Talk' (BBC) where he gave an excellent performance.
Is there a hidden agenda?

Okay, What would you call a group of people that illegaly take over a major international airport and endanger the lives of travellers and airport employees?Takiap wrote:Name Taken wrote:Terrorist(s) is just a word that the Abhisit supporters and the yellow shirts like to use to try and discredit the red shirts and Yingluck.

They have to hold an election before December as the House of Representatives has a term of four years from the last election in 2007 so I suppose it's just a case of timing.nanyang wrote:From afar, China, I can't help wondering why Abhisit has called an election he knows he will lose.

Unlawful protesters.
You can hardly compare an airport blockade, although it was wrong, to the torching of buildings, looting and killing. Surely you saw TV footage of the country's capital after..........
I most certainly don't support the yellows, but neither do I support the reds. And, in my opinion, anyone in their right mind will know that the red shirt leaders themselves don't support the reds either.......it's all about being in power.
The yellows are seen as being the Bangkok elite, but as we all know, the red leaders are also Bangkok elite.
Ahhh, but the red leaders are fighting for the common working man? I know, so was Hitler when he rose to power in the Workers Party.
The bottom line is, they're all in it for themselves, both the reds and the yellows. And, I stick to what I've said in the past.......if no government can run this country, then just let the military do it until the little children have finished spitting out their dummies.

Takiap,
I have to agree with your post 100%.
I think both these groups just want power...their actions are also uncomparable.

Re: Thaksin's youngest sister for PM
Thaksin for all his faults, and there are many, was the only elected official who was willing to stand up to the military and that was his downfall.
As I have said before, we live under the rule of a military junta and that is not going to change in a very long time, is that really such a bad thing?

Well, if the military were to stand down, the MIB would more than likely take over, and that is something we certainly don't need.
