Jeep has ads now touting adjustable road-leveling suspension. Wow.
Citroen had adjustable hydro-pneumatic suspension many many decades ago plus front-wheel drive, headlights that turned to illuminate bends in the road, aerodynamic design etc.
Without a doubt the "most French" cars, unlike anything else.
My old 1987 1.6 BX was a super fun car to drive!
AMC PACER - a disaster, made famous in Waynes World years ago!
Austin made some ugly buggers to - Allegro (had a better drag ratio going backwards) and The Ambassador. Oh i nearly forgot - The Maxi too!
Apologies to anyone driving one but I thought the the last Honda City (before the current model) was a complete horror show for a great manufacturer.
Remember the Allegro Vanden Plas;Austin thought you could somehow cross a shoddily built little commuter car with a Princess limousine by putting on a chrome grill and a wooden dash-board:

I had an ordinary Allegro once, it served me well. It was a time I thought I'd do without a car as I was commuting by train, but a good offer came along via a friend and I bought one second hand. The squarish steering wheel was odd, and the colour was sort of amberish, but I never recall it as being as bad a car as folk now claim.

I think the 600 Multipla was kinda cool!
My Allegro had a better drag ratio when it was being towed - which was often. I quite liked the design though and had 'go faster' stripes and 'Maggie' done in script on the boot. It still didn't go faster either poor thing
