Re: A new Indian Restaurant..
Erm, the best person to ask is probably the Indian chef/boss standing next to the waitress!

Re: A new Indian Restaurant..
I would imagine you could easily make your own using one of the large clay pots which are sold everywhere in Thailand.
Don't try to impress me with your manner of dress cos a monkey himself is a monkey no less - cold fact
Re: A new Indian Restaurant..
how about the small Indian on a soi after market village ? ate there once, vegetarian because I was worried about it being so quiet, but it was very good! that being said, the other well known one in the middle of town is also often empty, so I dont fancy going there . I love Indian food as its a nice change from Thai now and again . any ideas ?

I make my own. It's not too difficult.
And I know every ingredient that goes into it!

Re: A new Indian Restaurant..
I was in the other night and enjoyed the food very much. Certainly much tastier than the Indian food in my Canuck home (where there are plenty of East Indians). Subtly spiced, portion looked small at first but I was well-filled when done. Prices are reasonable and I was served by my oldest Thai friend in HH who told me it was good. Only quibble is the (lack of) decor. It feels too much like a fast-food place, maybe a bit of fabric on the walls and softer lighting would be an improvement. I'll go back though.

Re: A new Indian Restaurant..
We were at Thank You for lunch today - only my second visit, and I enjoyed the food even more than last time. The naan bread and paratha are particularly good. Most main course dishes are around 120-130 baht.
Three of us including a couple of small beers about 730 baht, with enough leftovers for a delicious DM doggy bag dinner (to be consumed shortly!)
Mods, it took me a while to find this thread - please would you rename it Thank You Indian Restaurant?

Glad of the reviews
I walk pass this most evenings when in town and laugh at the name but never ventured in simply due to the fast food appearance. Will give it a try now.

Nothing wrong with the food--good value.
I just wish the ignorant dark skinned p----k that spent 15 minutes jabbering on his mobile phone at the top of his voice, standing less than a metre from my table, would choke on the damn thing.

Being American I say get up and shove it down his throat or up his...EDIT: deep breathing instead...
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

Or being British politely ask him to desist and as a last resort ask an American for help

Re: Thank You Indian Restaurant
And I have no doubt that another dish will be better at Thank You than at S&S, which I also like but for different reasons. Post something positive on the S&S thread if you feel strongly about it. The two places have very different menus, and there is plenty of room in Hua Hin for both of them.
Threads like this are generally more useful if they are positive. Why would you want to talk down one restaurant in favour of the other unless there was a serious issue at stake, above and beyond personal taste over one dish? (A dish that I'm not sure Thank You offers)
I was at Thank You late on Friday, and overall I think it's the best Indian restaurant in HH.
Personally.
It has the added advantage of being a short walk from Bintabaht.
EDIT: While there are some things that S&S does better (mainly because Thank You doesn't do them), naan bread is not one of them.

Re: Thank You Indian Restaurant
What is the difference between a dish that is 4 times better and a dish that is 5 times better? Just wondering.nickswift wrote:i have tried same dish at S+S and Thank You (paneer tika with garlic naan) and S+S is about 5 times better
