Hua Hin dual-track rail project to go ahead
Re: Hua Hin dual-track rail project to go ahead
Local folks, near present crossings are going to be too thrilled once completed, as some of these 'crossovers' are far apart. Luckily I have 3 crossings along the 2 kms stretch to get on the other side of the rail lines. 2 over & 1 under.

A bit different to the original artists impression. The one thing I wonder about every time I go past, and reinforced by freight train in the photos, how do you get across the railway track to the new station?

I have considered the entrance moving to the other side, but the car parking would be on the wrong side if that was the case. Then there's the small oblong building - could that be the way in to the new station under the tracks? A possibility, but we've all seen the way the road floods along there. It could be a bit damp

Not known for their forward planning, however I can’t believe they won’t have a plan for getting passengers to the departure area, it surely must have been taken into account (even allowing for TIT)!!

That's a large structure, they must be expecting hundreds of travelers from HH.

It ain't for Bangkokians who would prefer to spend their weekends sitting in traffic in Hua Hin rather than in Bangkok.

If you zoom in on the 2 pic down, it appears there is an escalator going down underground. Probably to a tunnel under the ground level tracks and over to another escalator coming up under the new station.buksida wrote: ↑Tue Oct 12, 2021 1:39 pm Here are some more renderings of Hua Hin's sparkling new railway station from TAT ...

I noticed that and there is escalators evident in the station itself. To date, that area is prone to flooding.
