Its mainly the toll roads in Bangkok, there is no provision for a bike when you go through the pay gate and the cops will pull you no matter what you're riding.

The express ways within the city are fine, just ignore the 'no bikes' sign and give it a rip.

Oh, I see.... If I had an electronic toll pass wouldn't just click the toll for a passenger vehicle? Time for the toll roads to sort the revenue stream out, especially with the new increase in the tools... Thanks for the info!

There should be a warning sign on posts like the above... It will take at least a hour before I can concentrate on work again.
Anyways... looking forward to mid january when it will be my turn to do miles on the thai roads again. If Buddha and Kawasaki can live up to their promises, it might even be on my new bike.

Yeah cars on the afternoon. Not so sure about the weekend as they may have events on.

Bike costs 1000thb for the morning, not sure about the car. Phone them up and ask.

Had the GoPro running for a bit and shot some vid, as usual YouTube has compressed it and toasted the quality ... :cuss:

It was shot at 720p @ 60fps, uploading to YT or FB always kills the quality as they compress it. I think the way around it is to upload the raw video - which with upload internet speeds in Thailand will take days.

That was lovely, Buksi. The bike sounds great, and the camera was angled in such a way that I felt I was in the driving seat. I wonder what that wonderful stretch of undeveloped road near the sea will look like in 5/10 year's time?

It looks the same as when I was there 3 years and 9 months ago! I wish I was there now.

I was thinking exactly the same thing, along with I bet that one family or Thai company owns all of it. Besides that, I was waiting for a soi dog to dart out in front of you! Pete

Well to me it looks like what I imagine the Dolphin Bay road looked like 10 years ago...

Yes, nice and peaceful before people started roaring around them on large motorbikes! (Ditto jet skis and ATV's.)
Actually I've been going to Dolphin Bay for ten years and most of those hotels are older than that, a few large villas have been built but generally it's developing very slowly.

The lack of dogs is because it is the Muslim area, the lack of development is because the Thai families have over inflated the land prices.

Will try and to another vid today.
