He has no choice, he's being instructed for sure. The last thing these authorities need is an open rebellion against Chinese vaccine. It may be coming anyway, especially if fully vaccinated people start falling seriously ill, and just as important, continue to spread the disease.
How's AZ doing against Delta? Is it too soon to say based on Delta in UK?

All I have at the moment is from the story 3 posts up. ^ ^ ^, part of which is as follows:

...."How do they compare with Western shots?

A study by Public Health England (PHE) found in May the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine was 88% effective against symptomatic disease from the Delta two weeks after the second dose.

That compared with 93% effectiveness against the Alpha variant, first identified in Britain.

Two doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine were 60% effective against symptomatic disease from the Delta compared with 66% effectiveness against the Alpha, PHE said."......

HHH just announced on its FB page that it got 972 doses this week. Out of the supposed 4 million + ?? WTF!

Anyway if you were in the original June 7 - 11 batch and your queue number is less than 4844 you should be one of the lucky ones.

I managed to miss out again.

However, if you look at a series of the pages, they all give you a different answer. Confused? Yep.

I think it's a combination of those who missed their appointments the first time around + a few others. TIT simple maths doesn't apply.

I've just been looking at the Government Officials, Teachers, etc who were vaccinated yesterday. I find it reassuring that they were not allocated queue numbers. Maybe those Farang who registered last month will not require queue numbers either.

You're right! I'm wrong. I misread that they were starting from 3,872. But it's up to there. They haven't even done 3000 yet!

Actually up to 3384, but as I said, every way you look, you get a different answer.

I believe those were non-over-60s and non-high-risk conditions, but healthy younger folk getting Sinovac. Though it is possible that they're "misappropriating" "our" AZ.

I somehow doubt that those farang who registered for July are going to jump ahead of those mostly Thais who registered for June. But dream on.

OK, now I'm getting confused. Thanks! I still won't be getting vaccinated yet anyway.

They had another 150 after that to get to 3534. Sums definitely not adding up.

I think I have it straight now:

The 972 doses includes the 635 that didn't show up before plus queue numbers 3535 - 3872 (338 new doses).

Hopefully this 338 isn't the HH allocation from the supposed 4.5 million.

Phew! Sorry for sowing confusion, computer crimes, spreading fake news, etc. I'll go quietly officer.

I have my doubts on the effectiveness of the main Chinese vaccines produced by Sinovac and Sinopharm on any of the Covid-19 strains, let alone the Delta strain. That said, do any of the vaccines currently "in play" prevent those vaccinated (with proven vaccines) catching and spreading various strains (without suffering the effects themselves)?

With regards to the vaccines used in Thailand, I can't find anything definitive with regards to those supplied/used, but did find this link: - https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2021/6/7 ... n-campaign

From that, I'm making the assumption that it's something like 1 Third AZ, 2 Thirds "Sino Vaccines" - does that ring true with those of you nearer to the "frontline"?

[EDIT] Apologies, the above post seems to have skipped a dozen or so other posts for some reason!!

I find it difficult to believe any numbers. For example, how can HH receive 972 doses (as reported) of vaccine when there are 10 doses to a vial?

I'll just wait and see how all this pans out.
