Re: New iPhone 3G release
Buksi, with the music I would put them in playlists within iTunes and then you just dump that onto iPhone and then it's sortable by playlist. Or just dump the lot in one time and forget it, you can still sort by artist, genre etc.
To delete apps, if they are not factory standard that came with phone, but have been downloaded later. You just hold your finger on the icon until it starts to dance, then you'll see a cross to delete. While dancing they can be re-arranged on the iPhone main screen or other screens that you have to swipe too.
Re: iTunes button, I've never used it, you can play media via the iPod button which should be one of the bottom 4 that do not move when you slide across screens.

Re: New iPhone 3G release
As SJ stated. Its easy.Another question: how can I remove apps direct from the phone - without plugging it into the laptop and iTunes?

Well I'll be damned, I never thought I'd see the day that Buks became an Appletard.

You have to feel sorry for the poor Apple tech guy who left it on the bar stool. He just graduated in 2006 and then hired by Apple. His career with them is probably now gone, or he's in the typing pool/supply room/fax operator or similar. Many companies in the States have an area they call "death row" for executives who have been let go but haven't found a place to go yet. They benefit from being able to network, use facilities etc., but they suffer terribly being in that fish bowl. Never happened to me, but to a few friends. They 'left the building' after a few weeks even though they could have stayed as long as they wanted to find new employment.

A couple of the local news stations here are speculating that it may not have been an accident.
Quite a few phones out now, and after the ipad they were thinking it would have been a good way to get some free publicity.

Still waiting for a jailbreak for 3.1.3 ... until then the iPhone is a great little toy for the kids to play games on.
Thanks for nothin' Mr Jobs
Now where did I put that Nokia that works in any country on any network with all software...

Yeah the trouble with Nokia BS is that you can't back it up (new software) from an iMac. I've got a 6110 Nav and despite the so called patches I have been unable to load the latest ver. software and Maps too and after several attempts and the useless Nokia shop in HH says that as I bought the phone elsewhere (not LOS) they can't do it via the PC!!

My one is locked to Vodaphone so I use it here for internet/email use only. Works great.
It picks up the signal from my house router or anywhere else where there is free wifi, so it is limited.
I made a mistake of up-grading my UK phone through my long time provider, Vodaphone. Had I done it through 02, I could have got the same package and they would have unlocked it for free.
I spend 3 months a year in UK and need constant access to internet so very happy with my Iphone even with my expensive monthly rental.
A few companies are now advertising jailbreaks for 3.1.3. but don't know if they work or not!

Re: New iPhone 3G release
Yep, I've jailbroken it already using Spirit, very easy to do. Downloaded Cydia and now have access to hundreds of non-Jobs approved only apps ... aahhhh isn't freedom of choice grand.
Good news for the unlock too, should be out this month: http://www.iphonedownloadblog.com/2010/ ... ming-soon/

Buksi and others,
2 free apps I found recently on the Apple store re: downloading and storing music, videos etc on iPhone. There may be same or better apps on Cydia.

Well the iPhone 4 has now been officially announced - any of you worshipers getting in line?
http://atimes.com/atimes/Global_Economy/LF12Dj01.html
The unlock for my 3G should be a week or two away now, looking forward to actually using the beast!
Thanks for the recommendations for the apps above - anything has to be better than iTunes.
Any more free app recommendations? I'm coming up short - nearly all of the games are demo versions as are many of the others listed as 'free'. I'd like one that enables me to watch web TV ... tried yamgo.com but you have to be in the UK.

Re: New iPhone 3G release
Hi there everyone
Thank Buksida for the nice iPhone 4 & more article i was about to Start a New Topic/thread about it! In the Digital Realm section.
One thing is for sure since I bought my iPhone 3GS last November or hmm.... Well my Aunt bought it 4 me as an aerly Christmas present and I'm still happy with with my iPhone and for the first time last ever last month I've been able to buy and get free Apps from the Apple iTunes s AppStore.
With my old iPhone 1 I had Cydia and Jailbreak on it but a major mistake while updating the firmwire reversed it!
I expect the iPhone 4 to Land on Thai shores within a month After the US Release to counterpunch the Greyimports from Hong Kong.
Now with 2 Carriers here in Thailand it's gonna be à Race of who will Be the first to come out!
