Agree about the fishing programmes

Check out my posting on the HHFL thread pg 9 (26/06/09) re Pacu

Despite them being always referred to as a vegetarian fish - I can vouch that they are most certainly NOT

They will eat ANYTHING - so far they have not had any scrotums at my place - as far as I know 8)

As for eating them, they are very good up to around 1kg - when they get bigger they get rather tough. Very good flesh - not too bony as they have a flat skeleton. Very good bbq'd or deep fried with a papaya salad.

Making me hungry...................

The sea will die without sharks, yes its true. Think carefully please, maybe we can save these intelligent marine animals. They play a crucial role in the marine ecosystem.

It was brought to my attention by the programme Indian Ocean with Simon Reeve. This programme by the BBC is well worth a watch.

Yes, it's dreadful Siani, but something that's not going to change anytime soon with the likes of the consumers in China and HK.

There is a colony of wild peacock in the Paknampran area.

The story goes that the present king's mother had peacock brought to her summer residence on the beach at Kao Tao.
After she died, they apparently escaped or were released.
They have since remained in the area - they can often be seen around the 9 - 12th holes on Milford golf course and in the woods on the unmade road from Milford to the Chinese temple just up the road from us.
It's quite common to see them flying across the road early morning or early evening and trying to find pickings on the pineapple fields.

Seen them many times at Milford... the course is sometimes teaming with them.
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

Did you know......termites emit approximately 20 million metric tons of methane gas per year. NG last night indicated this is more than every cow on earth. :shock: You decide as plenty about it on Google pro and con. Pete :cheers:
