It would seem that the prospect of some rain never materialised, so it's more sunshine to look forward to.
There was quite heavy rain on and off for about 90 minutes yesterday in Khao Takiab, and the electricity and water was off for about 6 hours. But nothing to what they are going through with rain, gales and floods in parts of the UK at the moment.

^That was a planned electric outage for some major work by the electric company that covered a huge area from north of Market Village to south of Takiab and from the beach to the end of Soi 94 (at least) going west.

When I get there in March, I want it Hot! Not like the Robin Williams hot in Air America, but
Thailand Hot!
When I leave in April, I know it will be hot, and will be glad to leave with the
folks who get back to their own countries to do up their taxes for the year.

Huge rain along the eastern seaboard this morning. Roads flooded etc. Been coming down since 0700 and I would estimate at least 4". Really strange weather. If you remember, we didn't have much of a hot season last year as it started raining so early in the season. Seems this year could be a repeat. Pete

I've been as far as Kilo 10 approaching Sattahip this morning and it's wet that far at least. It all came from the southeast so Pattaya could be in the bulls eye shortly. Pete

I hope its localised then, because I haven't moved to Thailand for out of season weather conditions.

It's just stopped here within the last hour. A real mess we have inclusive of overflowing swimming pool. Here's the latest radar. It's headed your way but no idea if will make it all the way across. Looks like more for us here also in a bit. Pete

Accuweather is forecasting 8% precipitation between 7pm and 9pm, then down to 3% until midnight - so here's hoping !

The above radar link has updated itself and is now only an hour old. It's about over for me in Rayong, but there is a HUGE clump moving towards Hua Hin now. This was the beginning of a cool front that caused all this today. The temps have dropped about 8c since this morning. Pete

EDIT: In fact, if someone is down by the beach before it gets dark you should be able to see it coming in.

Started belting down in Khao Takiab at 5.30pm, followed by electricity going down for 20 minutes, just come back on. The rain has eased off a bit at the moment but looks like it will probably resume again soon.
