Yuk,

Hang on. I like Ibizza and the Costa Del Sol. They would be idyllic if it weren't for the tourists.

1. Wrong

2. Correct:

To Bombay
A travelling circus came
They brought an intelegent elephant
and Nellie was her name

One dark night
she slipt her iron chain, and off she ran
to Hindustan and was never seen again

oooooooooooooooooo...
Nellie the elephant pack her trunk and
said goodbye to the circus
off she road with a trumpety trump
trump trump trump

Nellie the elephant packed her trunk
and trumbled off to the jungle
off she road with a trumpety trump
trump trump trump

Night by night she danced to the circus band
When Nellie was leading the big parade she looked
so proud and grand

No more tricks for Nellie to perform
They taught her how to take a bow and she took
to crowd by storm

oooooooooooooooooo...
Nellie the elephant pack her trunk and
said goodbye to the circus
off she road with a trumpety trump
trump trump trump

Nellie the elephant packed her trunk
and trumbled off to the jungle
off she road with a trumpety trump
trump trump trump

The head of the heard was calling far far away
they meet one night in silver light
on the road to Mandaley

oooooooooooooooooo...
Nellie the elephant pack her trunk and
said goodbye to the circus
off she road with a trumpety trump
trump trump trump

Nellie the elephant packed her trunk
and trumbled off to the jungle
off she road with a trumpety trump
trump trump trump

I beg to differ on 1. Sorry I don't have nursery rhyme to go with it:

Charles Atlas (October 30, 1892 – December 23, 1972), "self-made man", trained himself to develop his body from that of a "scrawny weakling", eventually becoming the most popular mussel man of his day.

Born Angelino Siciliano in Acri, in Calabria, Italy, he moved to Brooklyn, New York at a young age.

Mr Guess!

Charles Atlas's birthplace has never been confirmed although most would concede he was born in italy, his father's naturalization papers state he was born in New York therefore Mr Atlas's official nationality was in fact American.

Jockey,
You're even sadder than I am. I have the CD but I couldn't have spouted more than one verse.

How about 'puff the magic dragon'?

As a lad I was convinced I was going to be a Clapton or a Carlos but the best I could do was PTMD. Hardly a showstopper Eh

When third childhood kicks in maybe I'll give it another try

Never mind. Dream on. Headphones on now and into Peter Frampton!!!

Interesting to see a whole bunch of this thread in print in this months Mirror, with no reference to the source ... someone must be writing for both.

When we were in Cha-Am in the local 'Village' near the holiday inn regent there was a 'Large' german woman walking in just a t shirt, bikini bottoms and flip flops when she bent over, I was reminded of the reason that I am GAY!!! it all hung out... I suppose it did help me maintain my Slim figure though, no lunch that day.
