I would think if Verstappen's father is offered the post, it's a way to lock young Verstappen into the team for years to come.

Zero chance of Joss "The Wife/Girlfriend(s) Beater" 'Verstappen getting anywhere near the post. He was (and is) a rather shite driver who was kicked out of multiple teams in F1 (I think 5 or 6 in 8 seasons) and recently wrapped his car during a rally. His claim to fame is his his son who he has managed for years but has caused rifts within Red BS - notably (I'm sure) with the recent sacking of the equally poor individual Horner.

Anywho, Laurent Mekies is confirmed - moving up/across from the "Racing Bulls" team.

Crashappen himself I believe will stay with Red BS for the time being, but remember 2026 brings in new designs, new engines and new rules - the team will be producing their own power units for the first time..... He may well be having second (or third) thoughts then!! Watch out for Mercedes next year, they are quite incredible when it comes to engine development - remember what they did when the Hybrids came in?
