Electricity and Water Charges

Just calculated last months bill, using that schedule in the posted link, (625 units), and that's pretty darn accurate. Don't know if I hit a wrong number, or wrong parameter (149 vs 150) but too lazy to do it again. How the final bill w/discount is calculated, that's a head scratcher.



Using DB's calculator link, I was 8 satang off the 'base' charge ... 2577.44 / 2577.36

I used over 50, which is stated as a bracket or tier

I'm not worried, just wouldn't mind understanding it that's all

As expected, the bill is about 25% more than it should be for this time of year since we've actually been using less (solar, more gas, no ac). This backs up the premise that they're charging more to claw back the "discounts" over the past couple of months.

Bill received today - up 25% on last month (when compared by dividing bill total by consumption: Aug B2.69, Sep B4.00).

If you go to this link, enter the numbers which can be found on your PEA bill, you will be able to see the history of your usage and the amount charge. This will allow you to calculate the monthly unit rate.

My water bill for Sept. is 10 baht less than for Aug. Maybe it's because we ate out twice and didn't wash dishes?

The electric bill is 5 baht more. Darker earlier, more lights on?

Just got our electric bill today - it's 90 Baht more than last month which is pretty reasonable if you ask me.

20% more this month inclusive of 'new' per unit rate
Last month, rate chart was spot on vs calculator (pre-discount)
625 units @ 4.1231 = ฿2577 (pre-discount)
625 billed @ 3.4416 = ฿2151

This month:
636 billed @ 4.2515 = ฿2704
Agreeing with PEA calculator: actual ฿2703.93 vs 2705.63 calculator

Last month usage 94 units, bill 41 baht

This month usage 78 units, bill 300 baht

Go figure!

Not complaining, nice while it lasted

(Seriously, I guess the subsidies have finished. Equates to 3.85 baht per unit incl vat which I've read is 'standard' for a low user)

I've never noticed any discounts or otherwise as I've mentioned.

However this month's bill is EXACTLY the same as last month i.e. 3,617.38 the same right down to satang. So I checked previous bills and 5 out of the last nine are 3,617.38

I find that very strange.
