Went to my first game 2 weeks ago(I think I was sat immediately in front of you BB) I enjoyed and went back again yesterday, I think we will be regulars now! Regarding the shirts, I managed to purchase both a home and away top on my way in at the shop outside the ground, 450 Baht each and they're very nice, good quality shirts!

I enjoy the fantastic atmosphere in such a small crowd. Well done on the shirts - I was only going by what I've been told by a friend, so I'm sure you are correct.

As I said, the atmosphere took a while to build yesterday, but it was boiling by the end. The following videos were captured on my phone, so the sound quality is not that good.

The teams enter the arena:

The team say thank you:

I can only apologise for the poor sound quality - I think even with the best sound recording gear in the world, you'd never replicate the real carnival atmosphere.

Next week's game is against the NEW league leaders, Ang Thong. As it's the last game of the season, Ang Thong will be looking to win the league with a victory against a Hua Hin team who have only lost 3 times all season. Defeat could see them lose top spot to Pracuab - it should be a fiercly fought contest.

My final bump of the season. Today is the last game of the season, and what a game it promises to be.

Hua Hin (no team has lost less than them this season) host Ang Thong (who have come from nowhere to lead the division). You will see from the table below that Ang Thong must win today to be sure of winning the league.

Meanwhile, long term league leaders Prachuap have an equally difficult game away to 5th placed Futera Seeker.

It should a great finale to the season, and certainly one that I'm looking forward to.

WOW!!!  What a finale to the season.

Hua Hin City 2 - 3 Ang Thong (Worthy champions :D )

Ang Thong totally outplayed Hua Hin for 60 minutes, and we were just wondering how many they would beat us by. It was 2-0, and somehow we pulled one back. The stage was set for a grande climax. The nerves were now very apparrent in the Ang Thong team.

Not long, and it was 2 - 2. That's the way it stayed until Ang Thong scrambled a winner in the last minute of added time.

The carnival atmosphere was even better than usual, with 3 bus loads down from Ang Thong.

The Hua Hin City PR machine was working overtime again. At today's match, I was given 2 T Shirts, some dental floss and a pack of sticky rice and pork. All this, and an excellent entertaining football match for a Pound (50 Baht). This must be the best value afternoon anywhere in Thailand.

Roll on next season :D

What happens next?

Yesterday I watched worthy champions, Ang Thong win the league. However, there are 6 regional Division 2s in Thailand, so will Ang Thong be promoted? What about the other 5 champions? Does anybody know how it works?

Tongue in cheek, but I was reading a couple of days ago that Hua Hin City were in Division 7 just 2 years ago. How do you jump from div 7 to div 2 in 2 seasons? Is promotion by the brown envelope method?
