Hello.. I 25 years old man (boy) from southern Finland... I have been 3 times in Hua hin. And I think that I am going to visit there in next may. I think that I am going to stay there about one month. I am a little bit jealous for people who lives in H&H. I want to stay/live there also but I understand a reality. I have to work very hard few years and then I am ready to move to my Paradise. I came from H&H two weeks ago and I am a little bit sad 'cos of that. But soon new year and new tricks... Happy christmas for every one here...
My name is Soren (Yes, I'm not hidding anything, are you?) - I am a 22 year old chap from Denmark and had my first visit to Hua Hin in august this year. As for so many of you, I also fell in love with the wonderful town that is Hua Hin. Met my girlfriend there, not planned, but what can ya' do. So, I'll be back in january for a short visit (10 days) and again in april (3 weeks) - If everything turns out great, maby I'll settle in Hua Hin for good some time next year.... Just thought that I would say hello to you guys - Top nice forum, I'll be sure to be an active member
I'm also new to the forum, but not to HH. I've been coming to HH for about 4 years. The last time was in Novemeber 2005, when it was so windy.
My wife is Thai and we are planning to retire in Thailand, possibly in HH. We looked around a little bit in Novemebr, but I wasn't all that impressed with what was available.
Which is the best forum to find out about the reality of buying a home? Especially the real cost of buying and ownership as well as various quality locations. I'm not particularly interested in hearing what realators have to say, rather what do you whohave bought and live there have to say.
I live in the UK but am a frequent traveller to LOS. Have just returned from HH. Fortunately arrived after the 'cold spell' and enjoyed pretty much 'everything' that this amazing place has to offer.
You must have had a good time, judging by the number of posts.
Keep them coming. It's good to get feedback, both positive and negative about this wonderful "fishing village" we live in.
Well, maybe a little to late to introduce myself after some posts from me.
Think that the right and propper way is to introduce first before start any
kind of chats.
I live in germany, hamburg and travel to thailand since 1992, mostley ervery year also to huahin to relex from the trips around east- and southeastasia.
From 1992 til 1996 I lived 3-6 month in thailand and huahin. This forum is a fine platform to talk with other friends of the land of smiling.
Thank you for your attention and please apologize my lousy english.
And even later for me! By now I have already exposed my innermost thoughts and declared my love-hate relationship with The Land of Smiles!
First introduced to Hua Hin as an accessible beach escape from Bangkok by a former resident of the town and legend in his own lunchtime who shall remain nameless! Hee hee! Are you reading this mate - you know who you are!
As one of the non-resident contributors to this forum I find this window on the Hua Hin ex-pat community fascinating.... and more than a little useful!
only just spotted this thread , only been to HH twice and liked most of the place , married to "charming" thai wife ( she can read english ! ) and have 19 month old son with her , spend a lot of time in Khonkaen , surprise surprise she comes from there , work in uk for the world s fav airline ( BA ) so travel alot and cheaply ha ha , love thai food , adore thai beer , and i think the thai people are great , not a lover of beer bars , can find me on the beach , used to be a mod so hope to meet up with the scooter man ,
I´m David, a 20-something from Sweden who is, hopefully, moving to Cha-am in May! I have been to Thailand a few times before, my father retired to Thailand so there have been a few trips when possible. Anyways now I´m gonna finish my Bachelor´s Degree at Webster´s if I get in, have done two years in the U.S now and had no idea there was an american university in Thailand but there was no question about it once I found one...
So now I will annoy you all with questions for a while and then i will annoy with a beer in my hand at the bars when i get down there
Very nice forum btw, have found alot of good info already...
Hi y'all, have been on this forum before a while back but havent read it in a while, it seems a lot busier & active now?
Have been living in HH for about 5 years and before then was in Bangkok for a couple of years, live up near Samore Prong these days.
Do keep meaning on coming on this website more but have a memory like a sieve, so apologies as its a great website for HH.
Am Scottish with a couple kids and work in the oil industry unfortunetly...
I have been reading this forum for a long time. In January I registered. Been travelling in Thailand since -97. Next week going to HuaHin again and staying there this time for two months. Must check the Lotus.
I'm reading new posts every day, but writing to forums is difficult for me. Always working with pen and paper has been difficult for me and these keyboards are not easier at all, they make as much mistakes with spelling and foreign words as pen.
Only one more week freezing in Finland and then HH!
