Is this the start of another Coup?
Having my usual breakfast at family friendly bar and a gathering started at the Tessaban
Speakers and clappers and yellow shirts but all seemed jovial
Asked a couple of Thais what it was about and got 2 different stories in the space of 10 minutes. 1) Something to do with lack of water 2) demo about wages
Thought, Oh Sh1t, I've got a yellow shirt on
All and sundry disbanded after 45 minutes
Panic over and back to my Bacon and eggs

It’s none of my business what people say and think of me. I am what I am and do what I do. I expect nothing and accept everything. It makes life so much easier.

I've got a yellow and a blue and don't wear them very much and certaily don't stick to the specific days
As for 'trying to fit in' what's wrong with that?
As said before isn't integration a good way to go?
Believe you me it does gain some respect from certain quarters
Each to his own though

During the last Sunflower festival, g/f's mother bought me a yellow 'I love the King' shirt with Sunflowers on. I like to look ridiculous on Mondays with a plain yellow one, too.
Back in Blighty the mother-in-law and the ex both bought me aprons. That's why she's an ex.
Much prefer the Thai way.
Am I trying to fit in? Never looked at it that way. It's more a gesture of respect to their custom. Thais that do react are positive. Only negatives I've heard come from (pistols drawn) carping 'farangs'.
Is learning the language trying to fit in? Eating the food?
