Played Kaeng Krachang last Friday. "A" course was closed so we played "B" and "C".
It was in excellent condition. The cost was 900 THB for green fee and caddie.

Played about 4 weeks ago on a Sunday which was sports day 600 gf + 300 cf. I see on another thread that sports day has changed. You 100% sure as I was planning this Sunday? :D

Best to call them. I'm only going by what I was told and admittedly didn't get that first hand.
The number I have is - 032 422145.
Edit
Fridays, for time being are definitely sports days. Don't know about Sundays.

Good that you got that clarified. Hope you enjoy your game and play better than I did - that shouldn't be too difficult!!

Well 4 weeks ago I played the worst I've played in years at KK. Lost 8 balls :( So I hope I improve on that. I was not too down in the dumps as the course was amazingly so green and the fairways superb!

As I'm playing tomorrow and havn't been out for a couple of weeks, I decided a practice was in order this morning.
Arrived at HH driving range around 8.45am and there were hoardings up of pro golfers everywhere on the approach road. Turned into the car park and it was mobbed. There were also quite a few practicing.
Anyway, turns out the the HH Open is on until Sunday (probably includes that day as well) and maybe there were practice rounds on today? The course and driving range were closed to non-competitors. I was asked whether I was taking part which surprised me as I turned up with half a set of clubs in my hand and shoes, gloves etc in a carrier bag!! I don't think so.
My question is does anyone know if it's possible to walk the course and spectate whilst the tournament is on? I might go and watch a bit of that if spectators are allowed.
I got my practice in at Tavimook.

Unless there are two tournaments this weekend, you must be writing about this one. If so it is the Hyatt Open and it is for amateurs only, no professionals... so you probably could have been in it with your handicap! :D

Golf enthusiasts should not miss the 4th annual Hyatt Open 2013 amateur golf tournament organised by Hyatt Regency Hua Hin and Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok, and to be held over the weekend of 20 – 21 July 2013 at the Banyan Golf Club in Hua Hin."

hhfarang,
Yes, there are two tournaments. Learnt today that HH is hosting qualifying rounds (Mon-Weds this week) with some Asian Tour tournament from Thurs-Sun there afterwards.
JW was telling me. He'll explain it better than that

Hyatt Open is a 2 day amateur event held at Banyan and hosted jointly - the best event of the day! They put on a fanatastic event and I wouldnt miss it for anything (well maybe i can think of one or 2 thingsbut not in Hua Hin!).

So what is the professional event Lomu is referring to?

The HH Open.
Hence pros on one of the Asian Tours who have already qualified will play in the tournament from Thurs-Sun. Those who want to "have a go" can try to qualify with rounds beforehand.
Basically, you'll see pros and some gifted amateurs over four days.
