WORLD CUP

Post by Guess »

Again Chelsea saved the day for England. Lampard and Cole on top form. Lampard driving a volley Rivaldo could only drool over. Nice to see England play football again. Let's shope that in the real competition that the Northern boys can give the Londoners some assistance.

The other good news is Spain did what was needed and so did France.

It looks like a quiet summer for Ireland though.

I am sure this topic will be revived next year.

Just watched the South American qualifiers, and now Uruguay play Australia in a 2 leg play off in November for the last place in the 2006 World Cup.

Uruguay beat Argentina 1-0, so it did not matter what the Columbia or Chile result was (they were the other two that could have qualified for the play off)
