Hi Len and Pete,
For a bit of fun....
From the Geelong Club History;
It is believed that rough and tough diggers on the Victorian goldfields played football with no formal rules in the early 1850s. They came from all corners of the world, including Wales, England, Scotland, Ireland, France, Germany, America and China. They would conjure the best rules available, anything they were familiar with; whatever they used it produced a game that was fierce and chaotic, many a tussle settled with strength and pluck and with 20 or more aside, flying boots, fists and elbows produced bone shattering results, but no 'beg pardons' asked for or given.
From the AFL/MCG history;
(), Melbourne Grammar played Scotch College under modified Rugby School rules. The game lasted over three weekends - August 7, August 21 and September 4.
This game remains in the popular folklore as the first game ever played. Certainly it was the event which prompted a belief that Australians must make a game that drew from their knowledge of other ball games.
Whatever you pick, the game tomorrow should be a great sporting event, let's hope it's played with the same intensity, passion and inherent violence as the original games.
Chelsea,
Dave's got some pies in his kitchen, I'll see if he's got any peas, then if any ex-South Aussie's turn up we can have some "floaters".
Still hoping for Geelong to win. Even by a point would do !!!

Good for you Prenete, and your team. Happy to see such a result. Was no where near a TV this weekend so couldn't watch. PetePerente wrote: Did we win, we sh!t it in...

Quite possibly!!!!!
Are there certain areas of the body that you're not allowed to hit the opponents on?
And why are the guys by the sticks dressed like ice-cream vendors?
"he's kicked a behind" - that sounds well dodgy to me.
(Actually, even though I don't know the rules - I do enjoy watching it if it comes on TV - don't tell anyone!!!!!)
