Miscellaneous Pet Issues

Post by PeteC »

Cut foot pad, 2 stitches and a lot of blood. Poor little guy, and he has no idea why the Vet has him wrapped up in all that stuff. :(

But I bet your TV reception has improved 10 fold :D

Seriously, our smallest dog is also wearing a satellite dish at the moment - if yours is anything like ours, he'll be walking into everything. He had an itchy spot on his back that got out of control. On the mend now though.

Years back we had a Great Dane as a family "horse" - you can only imagine the chaos that ensued when he had to wear the "Cone of Shame"....

On one occasion, the daft bugger had walked into the bathroom and on turning around, managed to close the door and lock the door latch in one fell swoop! We had to break the lock to get the Muppet out!!

Present this guy with a challenge and he will overcome it! Plus, he should open his own yoga studio! :lach:

He's now torn off the bandage and torn out his stitches which were driving him insane. Natural healing now as bleeding has stopped, no more stitches.

Is that a Yorkshire Terrier?
I met a Swiss guy with one in Hua Hin last week and I was telling him it was the first one I'd seen in Thailand.

Yes, there are a lot around now. Not common but available.

It was funny because the guy I met had three very different small dogs and I said "Is that a Yorkshire Terrier?" and he replied "Which one?" so I said " The one that looks like a Yorkshire Terrier!"

This is what this guy looked like before the wife bought him 3 years ago. Like a toy on a shelf!

I think dogs have evolved to look cute as puppies so that people adopt them.
Here's one of our Thai mutts a couple of years ago:

Whatever Vet you use in Thailand folks, do your research and don't trust them fully until you do, especially if it's a serious issue/illness/injury. I come to find that pads on a dog's foot should NEVER be stitched. Easy to read about it on-line. We blindly followed the Vets advice and it was DEAD WRONG and caused our guy a lot of pain and discomfort over the last 48 hours. TIT applies here too! :banghead:
