Clothes Shopping
Clothes Shopping
My visitors say the clothes in the basement of Market Village are not such good value. Where are the best places in Hua Hin to buy good value clothes?
Re: Clothes Shopping
In Hua Hin:
The night market
Cicada market at weekends
In Bangkok:
Pratunam,Thailand's largest wholesale/retail clothes market, Soi Phetchaburi 21, Thanon Phaya Thai, Ratchathewi.

Re: Clothes Shopping
Haven't been for years, but someone recently up in Bangkok says Platinum is where you want to shop around for local good quality wear. Can find retail, though Pratunam is more a wholesalers marketplace. You will have to contend with YouTube personal internet shoppers from Singapore, Indonesia and the Philippines doing their thing. Bit of a scourge of you ask me, but that is the way of the world these days..

Re: Clothes Shopping
Although the OP was asking for clothes shopping in Hua Hin, not Bangkok? The fact is that other than the two night markets, Market Village is probably the best outlet, although you could try the old Shopping Mall? A bit further out, some 10 kms past Cha Am is the “Premium Outlet” - since Covid it’s not that good, but the only place I’m aware of outside of HH but still relatively local.
Re: Clothes Shopping
The old shopping mall doesn't exist anymore and, although it's moved on the Pala U road just before Big C on the opposite side (cannot remember the name) , it hasn't got much clothes wise, just a couple of stalls outsideDannie Boy wrote: ↑Thu Jan 30, 2025 5:33 am Although the OP was asking for clothes shopping in Hua Hin, not Bangkok? Re: Clothes Shopping
I’m sure you’re right then, but could have sworn we went there since returning from the UK in November?

I needed my laptop checked last January and found out that everything was closed and moved.
But as said the building is still there therefore you might have thought the shopping mall was still there too
Re: Clothes Shopping
Cicada has an area that sells 2nd hand clothes, that might suit them?

As for the old shopping mall called HUA HIN MALL it's empty but there is a new mall apparently comming there as per the signs on the store front,. But then a signhere saying "opening soon" can mean anything from 1 year to never

Re: Clothes Shopping
For quality clothes I definately would do it in Bangkok as the quality is similar to Europe and prices much less then the malls in Hua Hin. Same for the tailors.PineappleHUAHIN wrote: ↑Sun Feb 23, 2025 10:35 pmIt's not called Wannapranee Superstore.
