Daddy Deli

Post by Jack_Batty »

Daddy Deli is moving. I believe he said first of November. Moving in with (merging?) The Lodge. Up the hill from DaVinci School just before the turn at Pineapple Village.

^ That's a nice location and not so far from me. It's a more attractive setting than many local restaurants.

He already has a cafe with upmarket offsales on the way to Black Mountain, beside the Be Well medical centre.

I don't know how much business The Lodge has already, a very nice restaurant. Hopefully his well-known presence can attract more custom to that place.

I’ve driven by the cafe several times, but have never stopped in. I do need to book an appointment at the spine clinic, so maybe I will stop in then.

I find his high end steaks as good, and better, than anywhere around. He is brother to Prime Steakhouse. I ordered a 4 bone prime rib from him last Christmas, it was as good as any prime rib in the states.
I’ve never had a bad meal there and yes, the steaks are fantastic.

It's all indoor with aircon. Nice girls behind the counter, I just go there to buy deli groceries, a selection of the products they sell at the main branch.

As far as I'm aware they don't sell dinner at the cafe, so for those, steak etc, you have to go to the restaurant, at The Lodge location after 1 Nov.

Guys, I've given up moderating this thread. Yes you've beaten me. However, have you considered how futile your posts are? You have written about Daddy Deli for a few days. Anybody coming along in a couple of weeks will miss your nice comments about the place - they will simply fall off the bottom of a very generic page - you guys are successfully turning the forum into Facebook.

How hard would it have been to start a thread about Daddy Deli? :banghead: :banghead:

Too bad, evidently you've found value in these pages over the past 5 years, but apparently the shine has worn off the Thailand apple for you. Good luck. Pete

IMHO this comment at least should have remained in Restaurant News. It's news. Anyway....
