Where can I buy fabric for furnishings?

Post by 404cameljockey »

Back with another question, the longer I stay here the more questions I have....

I know plenty of places to buy fabrics for clothing, but absolutely nowhere that sells a decent range of fabrics for furnishings. I'm thinking at the moment about seat/cushion covers, but also maybe harder-wearing fabric for sofas, etc.

Does anyone know?

Thanks.

Have seen the following couple of recommendations but don't know personally what they are worth as I have not tried them.
Quotes :
«- Romchai Curtains. They don’t just do curtains.😉
Also good at upholstery, cushion cover services.
Located on the corner of 88, going up from Petkasem Road, on the right just before you cross over the railway line.

- Also was highly recommend John from IC Curtains he does all sorts of in door and out door furnishes, awning for barbecue pit , seating and cushions for out doors , plus gorgeous fitted wooden blinds for inside - highly recommend as he is on the ball and is honest and super reasonable x IC curtains company

Thanks very much joelle. I know about John from IC Curtains. Or 'Lucky' as he's known to many who have had trade dealings with him.

Thanks Joelle, good to hear he comes recommended by others. Added to the one from a friend, that's very helpful. Local to me as well..

Update:

I could find no shop on the corner of Soi 88. I guess it was one of those pulled down when the road was widened.

I could not find Soi 58 so didn't try ThaiThai Curtains!

There's another curtain shop on Petch. Road, left side going out of town towards Cha-Am before Krungsri Bank, but they were both asleep and didn't wake up when I went in. Their loss ....

So I ended up at Lucky's on Soi 112 and found what I was looking for, at a price. He's a nice guy, I've decided.
