The distance was neither here nor there, he prevented the Brighton player from taking a quick free kick and thoroughly deserved the yellow. The fact that it resulted in him being sent off is irrelevant, other than to underline the stupidity of Rice's actions.

Well no point in getting into a big debate, but to me it was something about nothing - although we can agree that Rice might have been somewhat naive, the Brighton player had no intention of taking a quick free kick to create an attack, just for (successfully) trying to get Rice a second yellow card

Three games in and there’s talk already about Ten Hag’s neck being on the line - not a great fan of the man but who would be able to work under such pressure?

But it's the whole Premier BS Wendyball League... Managers and players paid a fortune and if they don't provide the results, they'll be panned by the Supporters, Club, the Papers and Social Media. Ten Hag only just survived last season - can't see him lasting much longer if these results continue... And pretty sure the price of the "Golden Handshake" has reduced already - isn't this his last season under contract?

No he had his contract extended until 2026.

Ok they get ridiculously large salaries (and golden wheelbarrows when it goes tits up) but still ridiculous pressure!!

Apologies - had thought this was the last season he was contracted for and therefore wouldn't be the huge (well even bigger) pay-off to get shot of him.

Not far away from kick off, it's the big one today. Spurs vs Arse. Could really, really do with a win today.

Spurs playing with a full first 11, Arse missing Rice and captain Odegaard. Need any help we can get to overcome this Arse team.

Entertaining first half. Pretty balanced, a few opportunities for both teams. Come on lads!

Bit scary, the way the ref is waving that yellow card around. He seems to be as flustered as Vicario at a corner. Can't be long before someone is sent off.
