Another woeful performance. Matt Upson made the point on the beeb, when he wrote, why does it take going a goal down to see a shift in gear from England?

I'd bring Toney on now. Made a great cameo appearance in our last game. Changed the game.
I don't trust children. They're here to replace us.

Well, watched the majority of the 2nd Half and the Extra Time - sorry to say, but the Swiss should have gone through and Penalties not come into it... But, here we go!

I think the game was very even with neither side showing anything special but we’re still in it!!

His first touch was to score from a penalty. But I would play him instead of Kane in the semi. I'd play anyone instead of Kane!

Im still surprised that Gordon hasn’t been given time to show what he can do?

Well, we've done it. Once again it was only late on, after we went a goal down, that subs were introduced and England started playing with some real urgency. I can't help thinking that we've got this far in spite of, rather than because of Southgate.

One minute after the "win", I've had to switch off after the BS commentary - "Oh, how well England played", "England have delivered", "Never in Doubt", "The favourites and rightly so".... Dear God, and they were serious! Five minutes previous they were calling for the heads of all involved in English Football!!

Fair play to the Kittens, they've actually won a Penalty Shootout! :thumb: Seriosly though, they're through to the Semi's and good luck to them.

From an "Outsider's Point of View", if the Swiss had decent finishers, the game would have been over before Extra-Time.

As I said though, best of luck to them, but they've hardly been impressive so far. Neither have a few of the other so-called favourites to be fair...

Whilst you can’t say that England played well, they were better than their last two games. As unlikely as it may be, if they do manage to click, it might just…………

I think that about every single tournament he has managed us in. The players have got him out of jail every time. I just want to see us play on the front foot and let our talent shine through. 5th game in and we still play like a bunch of strangers.

Even putting Palmer on the left as a sub made no real sense. It's about the one position he doesn't play in, although he did well enough, he was soon shunted over to the right. Why not play Gordon there who is naturally left sided?

The thing about both Palmer and Eze is that they are always looking to make something happen as their first instinct and have the confidence and ability to deliver on that, that applies to Bellingham and Foden as well. None just go into neutral by making a possession keepy-keepy pass, as so many in this team do, but when there is such an inbalance in the team and Kane is playing deeper than midfield, options are few and far between. We need more movement generally, it's still very static and we have the players to do that. Shaw acually made a lot of difference when he came on. But as Shearer said earlier in the touranement, we have to accept this is Southgates team, his style of play and tactics and it is what it is. So it will be more of the same in the next game, at least until we go behind. After 90 minutes our record is won 1 and drawn 4, which is pitiful.

But I've done nothing other than support the "lillywites", the "Three Kittens" and hold utmost respect for them and all the players and associated parties!! Poor show DM - and damn your accusations!! :tsk: :butt:
