Only problem is that many roads get dug up every couple of years due to insufficient preparation/workmanship, so the plastic would no doubt get redistributed!!

I'm a fan of putting shredded plastic into asphalt highways.

Looking at the damage that big trucks and SUVs do to the road surface, is this not a very efficient way to create a cocktail of micro particles?
