I don't think this is usually a holiday. In any case it's on a Sunday this year and no mention of Monday being a holiday in lieu.

The cabinet agreed on Tuesday to declare a four-day New Year public holiday.
PM's secretary-general Prommin Lertsuridej said the New Year holiday would be from Friday Dec 29 to Monday Jan 1 inclusive.......

I see that the Makha Bucha Day will be on Saturday February 24 this year, but there is also "something" on Monday 26.
What are the implications of this on things like restaurants, alcohol sales, public service and more? Is it only the day Saturday that's affected, or will this be a long "closed weekend"? I'm not familiar with what "in liue" means in this context.
Does anyone know where I can find information concerning this holiday?
