Ripped off

Post by richard »

May be wrong thread so MODS redirect as you want

My local bar for over 4 years has got greedy. Those that know me will know where it is

Got ripped for a bar fine for taking a girl that didn't even work the bar

Got ripped 500 bhat for buying the bored girls a bottle of SS

Stay away

Also have the feeling my tab is being loaded

Goodbye pink long legged bird :guns: :guns: :guns:

Same old story im afraid,

Me and Mrs G drink a wee bit outside of town as it suits us, a few nights ago at around midnight mrs G thought it would be nice to take three of the girls who work there to the Hilton. I stayed another 20 minuten at which point the bar was closing when presented with the bill there were three bar fines on it!.

Needless to say I was not overally impressed.

It a good idea to keep a chunk of 100 baht notes to pay what you know you drank. When the rip-off bill arrives just chuck down what you know is right and walk away.
But I've been in some bars where some idiots try playing it the other way and blag that they've been ripped off, when they are just trying to rip-off the bar. These gutter crawlers must surely be the lowest of kee neows.

Went to a bar (less than the 'fortunate' name it bears) last year with my wife and a few of her female relatives.

When the excessive bill was handed to me and I asked for clarification, I was told I had been charged for 'lady drinks' - for the people I had taken in with me!!!

Definitely a place to avoid.

That is really taking the p*ss. I just go to HH, at best every year for 2 weeks. Have been going for about 8 years, don't think I have ever been ripped off.

There have been plenty of times when I have not paid the bill at all and gone back the next day to pay for what I drank etc.

I must add that most of my experiences have been positive and the one posted above was an exception.

Still, it's good to know where the few 'bad apples' are!

I came from bkk last weekend, went to a different bar before the slime mile(new name, new farang owner-amazingly I got ripped off on ladydrinks (I bought 2 got charged for 7!!!)when i complained they treatend me with the POLICE.I went to another bar and heard about this bar before then the police arrived and wanted to take me away unless I paid twice the bill that they tried to rip me off with.I thought that was bad then we went to your famous late nite singsong bars and got ripped off in two of them.I love coming to hh for the weekend but this is a bit much.(next time will payasigo!!!!!)

Seems like your experience of Hua Hin hasn't been particularly enjoyable. Especially as you decided to tell your tales on three threads. :?

I hope your next visit is a more pleasant one (if you decide to come back) - there really are some nice bars and restaurants in Hua Hin and they're not all rip-offs. Your suggestion of payasugo and would certainly avoid any possible complications/confrontations. Good luck.
