Senseless trying to save grass as it simply burns each day under a scorching sun and temps around 38c. Arid, miserable and not a drop at my place for a month.

If something doesn't change in a month or two there is going to be extreme difficulty with water supply; consumer, farmer and factory. :(
Almost without a doubt, we’re going to see shortages in many food products and of course significant price increases!!

Yes the rain gods must have read our comments from yesterday - more rain today than there has been for a very long time.

Too many atheists here in the East I guess as the gods haven't arrived, yet. Chance for tonight they say.

Yes, the black clouds were starting to form as I left Khao Tao after my afternoon walk. By the time I got to Soi 94 it was like night. I got into the house with a minute to spare. Proper rain at last :D

Just done some quick calculations

NB based on ThaiMet data and guidelines from Weather and climate

Up to and including Thursday Hua Hin has only had 12% of the rain it should have had to this point this calender year!

A sobering thought.

According to ThaiMet we've had only 158 mm of rain this year. For perspective we should get 220mm in May alone

Hard to believe...
